Greetings, everyone. For a while now, magic has been a great issue for the members of the community. We within the staff have debated and argued and attempted to come to some sort of a conclusion when it concerns magic-- and we've decided to have you, the members of the [Vampire] community, voice your opinions on how you feel magic should be handled in the RP. The following are a few systems we have produced. If one catches your eye and you favor it, state the number like so.

1 (7 votes)
2 (2 Votes)
3 (6 votes)

If you have a design of your own that you'd like to put forward, don't hesitate in doing so. Please read over the following systems.
1 -- Current System

The current system is a heavy restriction upon the use of Magic. One is only able to use it if they have been taught from a viable source-- in other words, another character who has either learned magic or who has been given administrative approval. Vampires possess four spells, Lycans possess four spells and Humans possess two spells, though magic will be expanded upon in the coming days.
2 -- Basic Restrictions

This concept would follow the dynamic of Star Wars RP and their use of the Force. Every character possesses the potential to draw upon an unseen energy and wield magic, though the knowledge and potency of the spells in question would depend upon what you have been taught and what your character's current skill level is. Spells would be expanded upon so that every species possessed ten abilities that could be used in a variety of ways. Spells would be restricted on the basis of rank and character development as opposed to administrative approval.
3 -- Heavy Restrictions

In the final system, which a few players have put forward, magic would be heavily restricted in terms of knowledge and use. If six spells are made available to a faction, a character is able to select only two or three that they will progress over the life of their development. Using magic may draw heavily upon the caster and may bring them to the point of physical exhaustion after the use of one or two casts.
As stated before, you may select one of the three options or you may put forward one of your own. Feel free to voice your opinions, your ideas and the like. Thank you for your contributions.

I vote option three. I think magic should be a rare, yet powerful, thing. I think option three best suits the way I think magic should be. If everyone can use a wide variety of magic, I think that makes it less magical, less supernatural and more 'normal'.
