![]() Tucked within the heart of cliff sides and a great river system is the city of Cacho'eira. It is the holy city of the gods, where there are temples for all the greater and lesser deities, even those of the demigods not yet blessed with divine everlasting life. Here is the one place in the land where the gods can come together under the condition of peace or at least truce, knowing not one has more power there than another. ![]() The city itself is broken up between the faces of the massive waterfalls that churn through and past them. Some street ways are blocked or altered due to the streams of rushing water that overtake them, leaving little room for housing and some few shops among the temples. Due to the constant water flow, the buildings are under a constant state of upkeep and repair if not properly blessed by a particular patron deity. Bridges and ladders are especially common in terms of access from one area of the city to another. Prior incidents require visitors to have a sure grip, to keep from slipping due to the misty air permeating the city. ![]() The streets, too, are not all safe, as although the gods may be neutral to one another here, their followers may not be. It has not been unheard of for travelers or residents to go missing for a possible sacrifice to a god or two. There is also a chance to be taken when bringing children; abducting a child in order to raise it with particular teachings in mind has been reported. |
