Goddess of the Seas and Water
[ * * * * ]
The sun kissed her skin with it's warmth and glow as she carefully picked her footing along the rocky shore of the southern part of her island. The tide crawled in and whooshed away again playfully teasing her bare toes. She smiled and an answering laugh over her shoulder erupted. Her son was wrapped on her back like a tropics monkey, legs about her waist where she held tight to add support and his hands on her shoulders. It was good she was stronger than a mere mortal as at the age of five, he not only weighed a great deal but did not sit still often. His breath moved her hair and she grinned back at him.

He was the light of her life and reminded her so much of her first love in ways she did not understand it was painful. His reddish brown hair and sea colored eyes was nothing like His blonde locks and emerald eyes but something about he found happiness in everything. No, nothing could keep this one down and nothing would try so long as she existed. She would obliterate anything that tried to take that gleam of joy or smile off her boy's lips.

Soon they came to the pool in the rocks she was aiming for. Water rushed in and circled almost violently with force like a whirlpool before it was sucked out. It was shallow however and as she let her son slid off her back, they could already see the small creatures that lived in the pool moving about. Unaware that their lives were about to be tested by a youthful child.

With a hawk eye, she watched as he scampered over on nimble toes to the side of the pool, eyes huge. She knelt opposite and looked with him at the things that snapped, writhed and drifted. Although they made these trips often to all the hidden treasures on her island, he never seemed to get enough and that was more than enough for her. She often taught his lessons on his heritage from her blood and others did much of the rest so that she would not neglect her deity duties but Tempest made she that she had time for these moments. After all this had been part of her fulfilled life dream.

Zhana
Goddess of Forge and Flame
[ * * * * ]
With all that had been happening in Fire's life as of late she had had some time to reflect on her life and how she had lived her life to this point. Alone. It had never really bothered Zhana for all those hundreds, maybe thousands of years of her immortal life, not until now it seemed. With the human woman Larka hanging around her cottage home on the Islands that were Zhana's lands, the Reaver's constant presence had changed Zhana slightly in a short time. Add in Larka's, and now Zhana's friend, Celeste to the mix and Zhana was starting to realize, that, maybe, she did need more contact with the outside world that she had had in the past.

To that end she had been going into the populated areas more, incognito of course, to see what the mortals were up to. She slept in inns and taverns, ate and drank with them, they never knew who she was. One night, however, she had gone further, and had taken a couple to bed, or rather, they had taken her, and it had been, for Zhana, exhilarating. However, the Goddess had made sure to visit those that worshipped her, a couple of local shrines to bless them, making her presence known and speaking with the locals. She had helped their smiths in their trade, encouraging them and perhaps teaching them useful tips that they had yet to figure out themselves. She had carefully watched as a true mortal master of his craft taught his apprentice and smiled as the young woman took to the craft easily and with all eagerness. It had brought a tear to Zhana's eye to see this, as, deep down in forgotten memories, this was how her father had taught her the craft before she had ascended. She learned that more females had or were thinking to becomes smiths because of Zhana being the Goddess of Fire and Forge.

Yet, she had not forgotten about her fellow Immortals in the lands, many she had not seen in many seasons. What were they up to these days? Syv, well, that was a sore topic to say the least and Zhana was more apt to torch him than hug him, even if the former wouldn't do anything anyway, would make her feel better though.

Zhana's mind moved to her opposite number, Tempest, Goddess of Seas and Water. When was the last time they had met? Zhana could not remember that time, in fact, there may not have been one if she was honest with herself. She would start there then and visit Tempest before the rest, so Zhana reached out with her senses into the world, ignoring as best she could the uncountable fires in the world that she could feel and searched into for pulses of power that she knew were her fellow Immortals.

__

As Tempest watched her son play, a little ways off the temperature rose ever so slightly as Zhana's magic worked. She was careful and slow, as she was coming, uninvited, to Tempest's home Island, and did not to arrived in a flash of Fire and fury for no reason. Instead Zhana started to materialize into view with no fanfare of Fire, she was not trying to hide her arrive and had teleported within eye sight of Tempest.

Once she was fully there Zhana looked around and spotted Tempest and her, son? How long had it been than that Tempest had had a child and Zhana had not heard of it? Was she truly that closed off from the world on her own Islands? With hands in view and a warm smile on her face Zhana stepped towards Tempest. ”Greetings, Tempest.” Zhana stopped a respectful distance from Tempst as not to put herself between mother and son, she was no fool. ”I come to visit, Sister, and talk with one I have not seen in much time, and a time that I take responsibility for not coming to visit you sooner.” She left it at that for now, she would leave if asked, or told, to do so, these were Tempest's lands after all and she was in charge here, despite both women being Immortals.
