He will always do everything within his power to uphold the ideals of The Order, despite his personal feelings on a matter. If the choice was entirely his, he would always do what was good, but good and right are not always the same thing and someone needs to be able to make those decisions. Very few people ever get so much as a glimpse of the man beneath the armour, those who do know that even in his personal life he is reserved, quiet, thoughtful. Arcane Force Mastery: Orphael is able to control fields of concussive Arcane force within a 50 metre radius. The fields created can negate gravity or create a pulse of pure energy with enough force to shatter the world beneath his feet. He is also able to create opposing fields of force capable of latching onto something and tearing it apart.
Arcane Shield: The most common application of his Arcane Force Mastery, Orphael is able to create multiple shields of pure arcane energy which are able to stop everything physical or energy based. The Shields can be created anywhere within a 50metres proximity or can create a single impenetrable sphere with a 10metre radius centred on Orphael. While the shield can deflect physical attacks indefinitely, large quantities of energy, the kind produced from elemental or magical based attacks, would be absorbed by the Shields making them both stronger and more unstable.
Detonate Shield: When the Energy absorption reaches critical levels, the Shields will explode with devastating force, flattening and/or destroying almost everything in its path. Orphael can choose to detonate the Shield before it reaches that stage and be able to direct some of the force of the blast. He is also able to detonate any shield he has created, instantly releasing the Arcane energy in a small radius explosion.
Arcane Prison: The Arcane Shields Orphael is able to create go both ways and can just as easily be formed into a prison.
Arcane Sight: His Draconic lineage has manifested into a greater awareness of the flows of magic. He is able to see through magical abilities, even magic born of a different source. This form of True Sight offers him a unique perspective on many of the beings who have made Sanctum their home. Seeing every creatures for who, or what, they truly are. He is also able to see echoes of magic, such as the after effects of a spell or the wake of an Origin being.

Val’rieth: Already in his mid twenties, the silver Arcane Dragon has his own unique personality. While he has been bonded to Orphael from the moment he hatched, the Dragon is in no way exclusively an extension of the Knight Commander. Val is the first one to tell his bonded companion when he is being stubborn or overly protective. Despite their occasional differences, the pair rarely hold onto anything for any great length of time.
Bond: The bond he shares with Orphael is primarily empathic with telepathic and sensory sharing capabilities and a constant awareness of the others physical location. Being bonded from birth combined with his age has also increased Val’rieth’s intelligence and wisdom, while still considered a young adult by dragon standards, he is mature beyond his years.
Dragon: Val’rieth stands 10’ tall at the shoulder with a powerful build and appropriate strength to weight ratio. He has four legs with a cat proportioned physique, elongated neck, longer tail than what would be typical, and plating in place of spines.
Wings: The 45’ wing span makes him a strong flyer with moderate aerial manoeuvrability.
Scale Plating: Toughened defensive scales cover most of his body. His shoulder area and back offering the most protection.
Breath Weapon: The pure superheated Arcane Energy (plasma) resembles concentrated white blue fire and will cause natural fires from the sheer intensity of the heat in the impact radius. Useable as a stream with 25metre range for up to 5 seconds, in a 90 degree angle cone up to 10metres, or as a focused bolt with a range of 50metres. Usable once every 15 seconds.
Speech: Even in Dragon form Val’rieth is able to speak the common tongue, as well as his own natural Draconic.
Polymorph: Val’Rieth is able to shift into a single unique human with strength, speed, reflexes and durability at the human limit, but not exceeding it. While in this form he is unable to use abilities specific to his natural state.
