PERSONAL HISTORY

Wade is the son of the Prefect of Eden. He was initially born in Sanctum, and his parents had comfortable jobs there. His mother was a guard and led her own squad, and his father an Apothecary. When the opportunity to make a new settlement popped up, his parents jumped on the opportunity.

His mother could help with securing the settlement from the nearby creatures, while his father kept everyone alive with his ability to spot healing herbs, and making potions. As they were pretty much surrounded by wilderness, finding new plants and making new potions added much to Eden`s prosperity.

It didn`t take long for his mother to take charge and be named Prefect, working alongside his father to keep the people safe. Eden was a bustling village by the time Wade was born.

He had quite the easy life. Both of his parents taught him much. He learned how to make potions and much about the plant life around Eden. His mother taught him how to use a bow, and defend himself. It was difficult, since he seemed to have inherited his father`s inability to fight, but he at least found himself proficient in defending himself with a staff. She also tried to show him how to run and maintain the city, but Wade wanted adventure.

He wanted to explore the world and travel to the brink of the world, and come back, but he was weak, short and physically slow and because he was the son of the Prefect, the people tended to shield him from danger and try to dissuade him from the dangers of adventuring.

Didn`t stop him from venturing off outside Eden`s limit one day. It was originally to scavenge some plants for his father, but he wandered way further then he should`ve.

He stumbled upon the aftermath of a brutal battle. There were bodies scattered. From first glance and looked as if they were ambushed by bandits, they were pierced with bolts and arrows, and a few bodies were dismembered. He should`ve gone back to Eden to warn his mother, but he realized they were not all dead.

He used up all of the herbs he gathered to make salves, and tried his best to bandage them up, to cover their wounds and to cease the bleeding.. He made mad dash between the location and a nearby river, to get more fresh water. The survivors weren`t getting stable, he was losing them one by one.

He doubled his efforts to save those that remain. He didn`t let those that died get the better of him. He didn`t allow himself to mourn the loss of life as he focused on the living, and it was wearing thin on his psyche. He wanted to save them. Nobody deserved to die alone in the forest and forgotten, but he had arrived too late.

In the end… no one was saved. All he was able to do was delaying their deaths and make them more comfortable.

Wade was distraught. When he was a child, he remembered all those happy smiles when his dad would give out the right potion to mend wounds and cure sickness. He wanted that… He wanted to keep people safe and happy like his parents did on a daily basis… but he failed. He was a miserable, weak failure.

He couldn`t take it. He was going to leave when the last survivor he thought had died suddenly coughed. His eyes widened. No, he could salvage this.

Wade managed to get the survivor on the ambushed chariot. The wheels were alright, and it was just a straight path. Wade pulled on the chariot with all of his might, his legs exhausted after a few long minutes.

He spent so much time in the forest, he hadn`t even realized the sun was going to set soon. He had to hurry, but he was weak. It didn`t take long before he stripped and fell face first in the road.

He wanted to sleep, to give in to his exhaustion, but he couldn`t… He pushed himself to his feet, and checked up on the survivor. He regained some color and he was resting, his relief didn`t last long as he heard a nearby growl.

He turned and saw a herd of wolves growling at him. He could run, make it safely to Eden as they munch on the survivor, but that idea hadn`t even entered his mind. He wielded his trusty staff and tried to hold them off.

Wade defended himself with vigor. He remembered what his mother taught him, but he was trained to fend of blades or a single attack. Against wolves, it was a different matter. He quickly learned to twist the staff when they got their maw on it or else they`ll try and yank it off.

Wade got severely injured, several bite marks, and claw marks, and whenever he spotted a wolf head for the injured one, he`d get a boost of energy that allowed him to send it off with a swing. Wade was starting to lose consciousness on his own two feet. He staggered slightly.

He tripped, and the wolves leapt on him to finally finish it off.

There was a bright light that covered the area, and the creatures were spooked by it and fled. Wade was knocked out cold.

When he awoke, he was back in his own bed without a single injury on him. His parents were by the bedside, sleeping. He didn`t…

Before he could question whether it was reality or dream, his mother awoke and embraced him, his father waking up and doing the same.

They explained they went to inspect this bright light, and found him lying in the dirt knocked out with his clothes all tattered up. He had been sleeping for over three days straight. They didn`t find any injuries on him, and asked what he was doing there. Wade could tell they were holding back on scolding him for being so reckless.

Wade sighed and explained it all. How he found the dying explorers, and how the survivors died one by one, except for one whom he tried to bring back here and then they were attacked. He asked of the survivor, and asked to see him.

His father told him he had been severely injured, and he was recovering in the infirmary. Wade`s patchwork effort saved his life, and Wade was glad to hear it. He wanted to get out of bed, but his parents insisted he stay, at least until after he ate something. He was starving.

His parents stuck around and ate with him in his room to keep him company. Wade apologized for not bringing in any of the herbs, and his mother was relieved that some of her teachings suck in, if only her only son had the clarity of mind not to wander on his own. He got an earful about that, both from his mom and dad.

After dinner, his mother excused herself to deal with a few villagers, and his dad brought him to their tiny infirmary. He saw the man lying in bed and walked up to him. His father says that he`ll have to be moved to Sanctum in order to get some proper healing. His herbs and potions could only keep him stable, whatever was broken had to be internal and they lacked what Sanctum had, healers.

Wade noticed a tear on the bandage and put his hand on the patched up wound, and suddenly there was light emanating from it. His dad recognized that light. The survivor`s body began to glow for a brief moment as Wade stuck out his hand, and the light vanished, and he awoke.

The light three days ago was Wade unlocking his powers. The son of the Prefect of Eden had ascended into a Saint, and served Eden`s people as its sole healer.

SKILLS

Wade is proficient with a staff, though he is only comfortable and familiar with a defensive stance and style. He can block and deflect attacks, mainly melee attacks like from swords or other blunt weapons. He is fairly weak though… so overpowering him is fairly easy.

He is well versed in alchemy and can brew potions out of the many plant life found around Eden, he can also make anti-disinfectant poultices.

POWERS

Wade is a Saint!

Healing powers: Wade has been granted divine powers that include healing other living creatures. In order for his powers to activate, he needs to point his hands toward the injured one, and the affected one will begin to glow as the magic severely boost their natural regeneration and immune system. There are limits. Wade can`t use these powers to fully regenerate a lost limb, unless the limb is available for him to re-attach, and he cannot bring back someone who died.

As it boosts the immune system, it is also an effective way to flush out most poison, alcohol included.

How long it takes varies greatly on how injured the other individual is. A small cut will take a few seconds, having been pierced through the gut with a sword will take half an hour, and if said sword hurt several important organs it could take several hours.

This, however, does not re-invigorate the one he heals. Meaning, even after they are fully healed their energy will just gradually comes back and they`ll still need rest.

Healing Aura: Wade`s body is permanently affected by his power, meaning he will be able to fully heal most injuries after a night`s rest. He cannot resurrect from the dead, so getting his head chopped off, or his heart removed will cause him death, but any non-lethal will heal on its own.

The healing aura does actively feed on his spirit. So the more injuries he suffers in a row, the less energetic he`ll be, up to when he falls unconscious.

POSSESSIONS

He has a traveler`s pack which includes several vials, a blanket, a tiny tent, a shovel and some provisions.

He has a simple wooden staff.

RELATIONSHIPS

Mother: Prefect of Eden
Father: Head Apothecary
