Likes: Morrial (An alcohol poisonous to all races but elves,) heat, a good fight, unique weapons, independent women, a good party
Dislikes: Cold, snobbish rich people, people who abuse their equipment despite the fact it keeps him in business.
Hobbies: Sparring, visiting the slums to repair vital equipment, hitting the bar
Aspirations: To master arcane blacksmithing, to find a good woman, adventuring to somewhere undiscovered, to kill a certain elven king.

PERSONAL HISTORY

Dagold was born among the Daelish, a magic using tribe of forest dwelling elves who specialized in rune craft in order to set traps and reinforce their encampment. When he was young, his village was over run by the soldiers of a nearby elven kingdom who wanted the tribe's secrets. In desperation his father grabbed him and ran, abandoning the tribe as he cared only for his child. As far as they both knew, the tribe was slaughtered, many killing themselves when captured to prevent their secrets from falling into their hands.

As Dagold grew, his father taught him what runecraft he knew, primarily weapon work as he had been the blacksmith of the village. Over time, he became skilled. shortly after his 15th birthday they found themselves in a human village that was under attack by dark elf slavers. They fought alongside the humans, and earned their refuge for the night through blood and glory. A few days later, Dagold woke up to a note from his father written in the language of his tribe. Their battle had attracted the attention of the kingdom who sought their knowledge, and he had fled the village to draw them away and leave Dagold safe.

Angry, bitter and confused Dagold made his living as the town blacksmith, not revealing his talents to avoid detection. He made his small fortune before being chased out by the former blacksmith's now grown son. An adult now, he traveled out into the wilderness, searching for a new home. He eventually found it in a great walled city run by many races. He could blend in here without trouble, and used his money to purchase a house in the middle class living area. He cared little for grand luxury, and was comfortable in the modest housing.

He now works as a blacksmith in the area, and is building a reputation as an arcane smith.


SKILLS

Metal smithing: Dagold's talents specialize in weapons and equipment, but do not end there. Doorknobs, doors, locks, tables, anything iron or steel, he can fix or craft it. Knowing how most locks work also gives him lock picking knowledge

Weapon and armor arcane crafting: Dagold uses elven magic to craft weapons with special abilities as follows (Note- only one rune can be crafter onto an object at a time with Dagold's current skill level):

Weapons:

Ever-edge (Sword and axe only) - when given this rune, a blade will never dull and will remain razor sharp. However under enough punishment, the sword with break.

Hammer weight (Bludgeon only) - when given this rune, a bludgeoning weapon will strike with the force of an object twice its weight.

Mystic arrow (bow) - when granted this rune a bow will have no need for arrows as simply drawing the string will form an arrow.

Elemental edge - When granted this rune a weapon will carry an elemental charge. Light electrical shocks, numbing wounded areas with cold, and flaming weapons are his current elemental abilities.

Armor:
Leather light: When crafted with this rune no matter what kind of armor it is it will weight only as much as light leather armor. Note: this will not reduce movement hampering if it is thick, bulky armor.

Elemental resist: When given this rune it will provide protection from the elements. Armor given a cold resistance will heat up to counter the effects and keep the wearer warm. Armor with a heat resistance will become cold, cooling the body of the wearer. Electrical resistance with turn the armor into an electrical resistant material, hampering electrical current. Note: this armor will not protect the user from direct skin contact with elements. Heat resistant chest plates will not protect the face.

Unbreakable (shield only, cannot be applied to armor) - When crafted with this rune, a shield cannot be damaged or pierced unless struck with a stronger magic than Dagold possesses.



POWERS

Dagold is capable of wielding basic elven magic. He can put up a (at first) weak barrier to protect himself, expanding it to protect others puts a huge strain on him at his current level. He can also emit a weak shock wave to push someone away from him.

As a Daelish wood elf, Dagold is able to communicate with nature. He has no control of it, but it is able to give him warnings of his surrounding areas.


POSSESSIONS

Fire runed long sword, unbreakable runed shield, leather light runed light plate armor, leather tough clothing.

He has a house in the city that has two stories and a few bedrooms. He has fixed the plumbing in the two bathrooms. He is not exactly wealthy, but he lives comfortably and has a soft bed and comfortable furniture. He also has a few houseplants for when he gets home sick.
