Wan is a fairly easygoing guy and likes to live life one day at time, never pondering too heavily on the future. He can be serious, but he does his best to stay as relaxed as possible. Conversation is something he enjoys, but openness is something else entirely for him and it takes time to crack through the surface. Time on his own has taught to depend only on himself and playing nice with people he doesn’t know or care for is low on his priorities, so sometimes he can come off as a bit of an ass.

PERSONAL HISTORY

Wan was born the youngest of four children. His father was a master smith and forged items for the village’s everyday use. His mother was a beautiful hunter, having lived with elves for most of her life. His brothers were all oddballs like himself and the four boys were known to get into trouble all of the time. Around the time they were 14, they ventured out into the neighboring forest as they had always done, but some passing bandits sought to capture the boys for their own ends. Wan got way and told the villagers of what happened, so their rescue was swift.

Despite being a short lived experience, it still resonated with the boys and their desire to become stronger and more self-reliant was born. From then on, they worked to learn a variety of skills that they could rely on. From their mother, they learned the ways of the forest and how to fend for themselves. Their father schooled them in the methods of using their hands and weaponry. The other villagers preferred this side of the boys versus their more troublesome tendencies and imparted the occasional lesson or two of their own, though boys will be boys and their focus almost always stayed with the martial arts.

They were all strong and they were over confident with their talent for picking things up. The competition was fierce between them all and if not for the fear and discipline that their parents put into them, they would likely have ended up in serious trouble. But boys will be boys…

When they were 21, they started to feel as though their home was too small for their “greatness” and they struggled with the idea of going out and finding what the world had to offer. Little was known beyond their village and the stories their mother would tell. So off they went together as brothers, hoping to find whatever it was that they were looking for.

Three years had passed and Wan returned home. His body was covered in wounds and his brothers were not with him. When their parents questioned him about his time away, he was reluctant to talk about it. He finally told them of amazing things they had experienced and of how vast the world truly was once they got out there. At some point, a year prior to his return, the brothers had all decided to go their separate ways and see more than they thought they could together.

Fate has an interesting sense of humor and from time to time, Wan would suffer from interesting dreams and terrible nightmares. Reality almost managed to bend and remold itself overnight or in the middle of the day. Experiences flooded him and his body suffered, so he went to the one place that could help him make sense of things. Being with his mother and father again helped heal what almost felt like a fractured mind as he could not be sure what really happened during the time he and his brothers left each other.

All he could be sure of was that something had happened to them and it all pointed to a bustling city unlike what he could actually recall seeing for himself. Somehow though, he knew that he had to go there. After some months with his parents, Wan was ready to head back out again, regardless of his parents misgivings. Not truly ready to lose their last son, the couple provided him with Leafwind and Dragon Slayer. Both were forged by his father, though Leafwind was his mother’s personal weapon and the only left that she could give her son to keep him safe. Dragon Slayer was a personal request of Wan’s and one his father more than happy to oblige.

He set off again with a new purpose…one that would bring him to Sanctum.

SKILLS

Adept Swordsman – Years of training with the sword has made him a force to be reckoned with in regards to the sword.

Adept Hand-to-Hand Combatant – Few can best him in hand-to-hand combat thanks to his innate talent and abilities.

Ambidextrous – Wan is capable of using both hands as though they were the dominant one, increasing his martial proficiency.

Efficient Tracker and Hunter – Years of lessons from his elven taught mother, has given Wan a knack for survival.

POWERS

Draconic Heritage – Agility, Dexterity, Reflexes, Endurance, Stamina, Durability, and Strength are 2x that of peak conditioned humans.

Arcane Replication – Ability to completely and totally replicate his body’s cells, splitting off exact duplicates, with whom he shares an empathic and telepathic link. Any clothes and items on his person get replicated as well, but regardless of the distance put between a duplicate and a replicated item, it will cease to exist once the duplicate is reabsorbed. The act is almost like teleportation, as he imagines displacing himself within a 1km radius, creating a duplicate. The duplicate operates independently and can be reabsorbed later. He can replicate all at once or in quick succession with a two second lag time in between. The number of duplicates he can have is unknown to even him, however he limits himself to two duplicates at any given time.

LIMITATIONS

Double Edged Sword – His replication ability causes the memories and experiences of each duplicate to be added to his own once reabsorbed. This also forces the stress of each duplicate onto his main body upon absorption, leading him to endure things like broken bones and bruises after reabsorbing duplicates that had been heavily wounded. During use, if his stamina and endurance drops too low, the duplicates may be forcefully reabsorbed, inflicting immediate strain upon the main body. The many scars on his body have come from the wounds that have been inflicted on him and his duplicates.

POSSESSIONS

“Leafwind” – A scimitar and his mother’s weapon of choice. This was given to him when he went off on his own.

“Dragon Slayer” – A large two handed sword that his father made for him to keep him safe on his travels.

Dagger – For when he doesn’t feel like pretending to over compensate.
