Things began to move very fast. Nodding her agreement to talking, Agatha smiled, but found herself very much 'second fiddle' to the Amazing Maid.

Yes, things were moving almost as fast as the jig had done!

Tiny Agatha tried to scale the stairs with the pace required. She stumbled and hobbled up the flight of stairs to the bed chamber and, wide eyed, studied the key for a moment before accepting it and nodding.

As if the key were, somehow, a symbol of the whole last 10 minutes.

Blinking, she held the key and tried to gather her thoughts. She hobbled about the chamber for a few moments. Casting her own eyes* to study the Maid, Agatha gathered the lady to be curious, excited...enjoying herself in some way...

Still holding the key Agatha dipped an uneven curtsey. Her peg leg scraping the wooden floor of their chamber. Swiftly followed with a nervous smile. "I... I mean no harm, Miss. My name is Miss Agatha Hall. I come in peace. From London." she offered with sincerity and wide eyed anxiety.

Her companion, this Agatha Hall, took the key and stammered a passable greeting that endeared Helena to her. The Toreador's expression did not vary or falter as the moment drew itself out. Agatha's nerves were no concern but she had already exercised her power multiple times this evening. True, none were overt nor breaches to the masquerade but there was a time and place for prudence.

Helena stared at Agatha and expanded her senses. Her vision of the crippled women swirled as her aura came into view. Her emotional turmoil was unremarkable and did not unduly concern the aristocrat. The confirmation she sought came not in the colours, but the shade. Agatha's aura was pale. Agatha was kindred, as Helena had suspected.

Helena lowered her eyebrow and fluidly executed a perfect curtsey. She spoke softly to prevent unwanted ears listening, her French accent once more dropping to just a trace in her words after the emphasis she had applied downstairs. "Miss Agatha Hall, I am Lady Helena Serieux of clan Toreador. I must apologise, I did not realise another had claimed this inn for their hunting ground."

Agatha, wide eyed, dipped another curtsey.

"M'lady!" she gasps. "It is an honour to meet you, ma'am." she offers with proper respect.

Still holding the key like a talisman, Agatha watches Helena, trying see if a threat exists.

"I am only too happy to share the Feeding, ma'am. Especially for a gracious Lady such as yourself, ma'am." she offers another shy smile.

Helena's laughter was genuine and full of promise. "No, thank you child. My tastes run to a more, ah, rarer breed of prey. I came here with a different need." She began a slow paced inspection of the room, only paying peripheral attention to the skittish woman. It was a sparse room with a table and two chairs, a window and a dismal picture of the moors upon the wall.

"I came to immerse myself in humanity and I have found no better reminder of that than in establishments such as this. There are little in the form of airs or graces that distance one from the core of people." Helena stilled beside one of the wooden chairs, her hand resting lightly on its backrest. "What brought you here tonight, Miss Hall?"

Agatha follows Helena's movements and pays attention to whatever has Helena's attentions. As if she may learn something of value.

Smiling bashfully, Agatha nods, "Oh, ma'am, I came to listen to the music and enjoy the amusement." she blinked and held tighter to the room key. "I was enjoying the company of the singers."

Agatha was now even more keenly aware of Helena's sheer class.

Hobbling closer to try to see what held Helena's attention in the picture, Agatha adds, "Might... Might I be of some assistance to you, ma'am?"

Helena paused and shot Agatha a look, eyebrows raised in quizzical amusement. "So keen to place yourself as the subordinate? How refreshing. No, childe, I am not here to claim any further assistance. Your aid mocking that imbécile is quite enough for now."

Helena turned to face Agatha fully, her movements slow, sensual rather than threatening. Her right shoulder lifted in a shallow shrug. "In truth, I came here with no knowledge I'd encounter another," her eyes flicked to the door. She had heard no noise but was aware that the walls were not secure. "Hmmm, perhaps we should retire to another location. A secure location. Would you know of one near? This area is not one of my usual haunts, I confess."

Listening carefully, Agatha looks at the key she's holding. Clasping it tight in her grip.

Then she looks up to Helena. "I regret, ma'am, I cannot recommend an alternative location. I have visited so few other places in this city."

Blinking, she looks to Helena. Suddenly puzzled at the questions.

"Perhaps so lonely road or railway siding?" is all she can offer.

Looking again at the key, tiny Agatha offers a shy smile.

Helena smiled back at the diminutive kindred before her. She played on her size and apparently innocence with careless ease. She could be as she appeared, but for all Helena knew she could equally be ancient and adept at fabricating such a facade.

"I too have visited few places, so why should we not indulge ourselves as we learn more of another? Let us move this to the Elysium. It seems fitting for us to get to know one another there and who knows, perhaps should meet more of our kin?"

This seems a good idea. Elysium was always a good place to meet.

"Oh! Splendid, ma'am! I shall be happy to accompany you to the local Elysian Field!" she smiles once more. her wooden leg taps on the floor and she hops and hobbles to unlock the door.
