Tuvok scanned Berman, which evoked loud laughter from the man. "The results are as I would expect them when scanning a human being. My inspection can be of course only cursory given the time pressure we-" Tuvok realized that Janeway was rolling her eyes at him so he stopped and gave her the short version. "Yes, Captain!" |

"Great." She pulled Berman around the desk and pointed to Tuvok's tricorder. "This is not a prop. It actually works. Show him, Tuvok." |

"You are human, you are..." Tuvok started examining Berman, giving him details the tricorder delivered. Berman was anything but impressed: "Fascinating!" he mocked Tuvok, "Now tell me something I don't know!" Th: Logical! He would expect me to know these things and not find it surprsising that somehow we could know details too, even if of scientific nature! Tuvok continued to scan Berman. He suddenly turned and scanned all the people in the room except himself: Janeway, Harry, Chaim, the man named Braga, the woman they called Jeri but was Seven Of Nine (but, to add to the confusion, she obviously regarded herself as Jeri and not as Seven). He stepped over to Berman, leaned closely to his ear and whispered something. "Oh my---!" Berman exclaimed and then continued with a guilt-stricken face: "The studio bosses were here this morning and we supplied a champagne breakfast and I nipped a bit too, socializing, y'know, but I am not used to alcohol and--- Don't spill it, Tim!" Berman's face was pale and his eyes widened even more: "Oh! Oh!" he stammered while tumbling to his chair and plopping onto it, "I see! I see! It's true! It's true! You are Lieutenant Tuvok!" "Lieutenant Commander Tuvok," the Vulcan corrected him matter-of-factly. "But how is this possible... how... why...?" Berman panted, his face changing from pale to tomato-red. "It seems we have his attention," Tuvok explained turning to Captain Janeway. |

ooc:
 ic: "Thanks, Tuvok." She wondered what on earth he had told the man, who now looked extremely embarrassed, but decided to ask him at a later time. "We don't actually know how we ended up here," she explained, "but we have an idea that might get us home." |

Testing the rawness of the skin around his mouth gingerly with his index finger, Harry piped in, "And we need to get home quickly! I HATE it here!" He collapsed into a chair and was on the verge of crying. |

Chaim ran in right after him, holding the chair and rope. "Sorry Captain, I just couldn't..." he paused, looking at everyone's faces. "Oh, great, I missed something again." |

"What did you... never mind." Janeway looked at Berman again. "Since you people apparently write everything that happens to us, we'd like you to write us home. It might not work if its just a coincidence that your show parallels our lives, but its worth a try." |

NPCing Berman "I... well..." Berman tried to comprehend all the consequencies. His mind told him that what Tim/Tuvok told him was impossible and for a last time, his mind tried to deny its thruth. "No, really, I mean..." His voice trailed off as he looked over to Tuvok who watched him sternly with a "You-know-what's-going-to-happen-if-you-don't-obey" look. Th: A Vulcan is giving me stern looks! A _real_ Vulcan! I think my head is going to explode! Then again he only could know what he whispered in my ear if that tricoder is real which in turn is proof that he is real as well... He made a noise like a dying duck and cursed himself silently. Th: If he told Braga what happened I'd be a dead man! Why did I drink that Champagne first thing in the morning! I was so tipsy...... Tim... errr... Tuvok found out that there are tiniest particles of my skin on the, ahem, extended back of Jeri and he found out that there are tiny particles of her skin on my right cheek... any idiot could see that while I was drunk, I patted Jeri on her posterior and she in turn slapped me... well, yeah, if Brannon finds out he kills me... so... better comply..." "Oh well, OK!" he shouted with sudden determination: "I'm going to write whatever you say! Where do we start?" |

Harry tossed and turned uncomfortably in his seat and finally investigated to see what was protruding into his...posterior. (ooc: thanks Pete! ) BIC: "What's this?" he asked brandishing a familiar red item in the shape of an enormous button towards Janeway, Tuvok, Chaim, Rick, Brannon, and Jeri. |

Tuvok eyed Chaim. "Lt. Rezit," he asked, "Weren't you responsible of keeping Mr. Kim or what's left of him away from all dangerous items?" |

He fidgeted a bit, choosing the time to clean his fingernails. "Well, yeah, but I, well, he... I mean, it couldn't... He got away! He convinced me to... Oh, never mind. Sorry." |

"Now then," Janeway turned back to Berman, "we can test this by having you write something simple. Try writing that... Harry sneezed three times." ooc: omg... *lightbulb idea moment* |
