You can read and enjoy our stories as a guest, but we'd love it if you joined and participated too. If you'd like to join, read this thread about how to get started and follow the steps in the first post. We hope to see you around the boards! |

ooc: Ooh, this is too perfect. BIC: Suddenly Gatti saw the dreaded flash of red and blue as a California State Trooper pulled up behind her. |

OOC: I can't resist in binding these two story-threads a bit closer together - you keep control over your part of it, nth, don't worry, but getting them closer *literally* possibly will evoke a few more laughs... BIC: Tuvok directed Phantoms' attention to a car that was speeding down the street, followed by another car flashing red and blue and apparently chasing the first car. "What is going on there?" he asked and stared at the two cars. Something in the first car touched something in him but they were too far away to recognize anything or anyone in detail. |

Jennifer let out a loud sigh and pulled over to the side of the road. "Can this day get any worse?" "License and registration plea...," the cop that appeared outside her window stopped midsentence as his jaw dropped at what he saw beside Jennifer. "Oh my goodness! Garrett Wang! I'm a huge fan!" This must have been the dorkiest cop ever! |

"Just somebody speeding. The cops are pulling them over." ooc: Garrett and Jennifer must be in town for the convention. Lol, this is great!

ooc: Well we're not exactly sure what Garrett's doing, but that's part of the fun! BIC: "Speeding? What's wrong with that?" Chaim was perplexed. "Besides for the discovered rupture in space when ships go to warp, (ooc: Which, btw, Voyager completely ignored...) what's wrong with driving too fast?" |

ooc: Voyager ignored many things, lol. Trek in general seems to have a hard time keeping its canon straight. ic: "If you hit another car, it's really dangerous. So it's illegal." |

ooc: Gee, I wonder who's fault *cough* B&B *cough* that is? Actually that's not fair. Just ranks seem to have no order at all. I mean, they have a system that makes sense, based on the US Navy system, and they just keep messing up! The amount of Worf's pips throughout the series, for example, keep changing, and that's purely GR.BIC: Now Chaim was really perplexed. "Why would that be dangerous? Wouldn't the shields take care of it?" |

Phantom laughed, then realized it wasn't a joke. "Oh... no, we haven't invented shields yet." |

Haven't invented shields yet? How backwards are these people? Chaim thought, but he just nodded and continued, "So then why would anyone speed if it could result in injury? Why should it have to be enforced?" ooc: btw, isn't the point to merge the stories? What's been happening this whole time? |

OOC: "What's been happening this whole time?" *gasp* ... We invent the most creative ST story ever to be found on the www and Chaim is asking what's happening. The previous 80+ pages - that seems sure by now - will (one day this fine mess is over) go into our vaults as best of the best and Chaim is asking.... Hahaha. Good one Chaim. Naw, seriously, I wasn't meaning to *tie* the two threads *too* close together. Just at least having all of us close enough so we, knowing or unknowing, might cross paths, ensuring MM, more mayhem. Oh, I liked your "speeding* thoughts and comments. Mini summary (If I write a full one my head would explode) Janeway, Phantom, Chaim and Tuvok are in Sacramento, just outside the Star Trek Convention Tour: Sacramento. The goal is to get back to Phantom's place in L.A. so that Phantom could finish her story and "write 'em home into the 24th century". But back then you still needed *money* to get anywhere in America (ha, what a statement). So they grudingly consider of entering the convention to make money, and, no, they don't have the slightest how to do this. Meanwhile, Jennifer Gatti (Libby) picked up Harry assuming he was Garret Wang and by coincidence drove by the convention center, being stopped right there by the cops. The cops also assume he is Garret and not the real Harry Kim, 'natch. Oh. I think my head still is going to explode... BIC: "We should find a way to make money inside..." Tuvok began but could not take his eyesfrom the scene on the street like everyone else. It was too far away to recognize anyone, but still there was at least one familiar figure - or it seemed so. His voice trailed off, he took a breath and asked Phantom: "This member of the executive forces displays an unusual behaviour when considering that he is issuing a speeding ticket. Did he shake hands with these folks in the car or didn't he?" |

"Yeah, that's not quite normal..." Phantom was uncertain why everyone was so curious about the speeding ticket. "So. Let's go about this whole money-making thing, shall we?" "No, wait," Janeway said. She too thought she saw something familiar in one of the people in the car, but she wasn't sure enough to say anything. |

"You are the most unsusceptible person in our crew," Tuvok said matter-of-factly but everyonee noticed that he took Phantom as part of the crew - at loeast temporarily. "Would you walk over and check what#s going on? It could be of importance." OOV: Now I don't know if Phantom shoud *reach+ them or not, that' open to Phantom to develop... |

"You're kidding." One look from Tuvok indicated very clearly that he was not. Phantom sighed. "All right, fine. But this happens all the time, it's not out of the ordinary." She headed toward the car, intending to keep her distance so as to avoid getting involved. |

Meanwhile, eager to inform the officer that the man in the mustard starfleet uniform wasn't the real Garrett Wang, Jennifer began to cough uncontrollably and exited the vehicle, bawling over. *Cough--cough* The officer lunged to wear she was now appearing to vomit (man, she was a great actress for all this was not real) and when he came up to her face to face he asked, "Are you alright, Miss?" (It hurts when you're only an extra and no one recognizes who you are) She chucked a thumb over her shoulder and muttered so that Harry couldn't hear her, "heezntdreelgrtwing!" "What?" Harry slowly crept out of the Jaguar as another man looking much like him was running up the street and waving a cell phone. |
