"You know this guy?" Harry said. Just when he thought he had seen it all, another unknown entered the equation. "And what character does this fellow play?" It was difficult to hide his exasperation as they dodged pedestrians mulling about the streets. He knew Phantom played the captain and that Dr. Drone played himself on these so-called message boards. But who is this fellow they just bumped into? Could he be the one playing the character of Tuvok? |

"This is my boyfriend, Faelon. He plays Chakotay." Phantom inadvertently glanced at Janeway, who was trying very hard not to acknowledge the significance of that information. She then looked back at Faelon. "This is going to sound really strange, but this isn't a cosplay party. These are the real people." |

"The real people?" Faelon said, smiling as though it were a joke. "You're kidding, right? Is this another one of your practical jokes?" Having known Phantom for over four years, Faelon knew she was prone to silliness yet also could tell that she wasn't being jocular this time. |

ooc: ROFL!!! What a great twist! If I wouldn't have already finished my hot cocoa I would have followed Pete's example from earlier on ![]() BIC: Forever the engineer, Chaim pulled out his tricorder and for the first time was able to scan these ground-based vehicular things. He gave an involuntary gasp. "Captain, I, I, I can't believe it! These are the very vehicles that caused the crisis of 2068! We can't use these vehicles as transport, we'll be aiding in the destruction of the planet! ooc: Just trying to be in-character

Though puzzled for a moment, Faelon managed to gather his thoughts and say: "2068? Isn't that around the time of the Third World War? Wouldn't nuclear attacks cause more damage than my little old Ford Focus? And by the way, when did you guys throw the Prime Directive under a bus and start beaming into peoples' houses?" |

"Around that time, yes, but that's the only thing that caused Earth to..." then Chaim noticed the second part. "Umm... maybe someone else..." he started looking around him, "should answer that one." |

"It is highly unreasonable to bring in another person who knows our secret. We may damage the current timeline beyond repair. This may be dangerous to the future of the whole federation. When words spread around that we are actually here, the first Vulcans arriving on Earth will be greeted much differently that history has it. We can not foresee how the Vulcan High-Command will react if a Vulcan has been here before - they will assume a secret service mission which will lead to internal political debates at Vulcan. They of course would not believe that we're from the 24th century." Tuvok could have said "If we are going around telling everyone that we are the real deal, we'll be in mucho trouble", but of course being a Vulcan he had to make a logical production number out of it. He turned to Phantom: "I am not blaming you. I simply aim to illustrate the problems we possibly will encounter." |

"No, it's okay, he already knows as much as I do about you anyway. And he has a car, which is the only way we can get all of you back where you belong before anyone else finds out." Pleased with her logic, Phantom thought of something else. "Also... how long have you been trapped in the Delta Quadrant?" Janeway frowned, not sure where this was going. "About six and a half years." Phantom bit her lip. "We need to get away from the convention, or our timeline isn't the only one that might get messed up." |

Still uncertain as to whom Faelon's character was, Harry was being cautious. "Lead the way," he gestured to Phantom who was already on her way to the parking lot. |

OOC: This is taking brilliant turns again and again... BIC: Tuvok raised the infamous eyebrow and asked Phantom: "Could you explain that a bit more detailed?" |

ooc:  Oops! Sorry... BIC: Trailing behind Phantom trying to keep in stride with the rest of the group, Harry Kim gasped. "Was there any record of what's happening now? If so, how did we get out of this predicament?" |

Tuvok looked at Phantom with burning eyes. "You - know - how - we - will -get -home," he slowly said, all the while and with every word more understanding that it would be not a good idea to inquire about details. Within a fraction of a second, he regained his coolness. "I withdraw my question, Phantom. Let's get back to the task at hand, that is, driving home to you." |

Relieved that Tuvok didn't press the issue, Phantom responded to Harry's question. "This wasn't really in the show. Just on our roleplay." Wondering if any other stories from the RPG had found their way to the future, she asked "Have you ever played paintball on the ship?" "I doubt it," Janeway said, not fond of the idea of balls of paint doing anything on her ship. "What is it?" "Never mind." |
