"Yeah, really..." Phantom said as the police approached Faelon's window. ooc: Harry, and anybody else who wants to make one, if you brought your character of yourself in somehow, that would be hilarious! |

ooc: Very well, I accept. ![]() BIC: Officer Crostel got out of his car with his his sunglasses on and approached the car. "License and registration please, Sir" he said in an almost bored voice, sounding as though he had done this too many times before which, to be honest, he probably had. ooc: By the way, who is this? LAPD, LASD? I'd like to do some more describing, but want to make sure to get it right. |

ooc: In lieu of telling you guys exactly where we live, let's go ahead and make it LAPD. ic: Phantom let out a shriek of "pain" and squeezed the door handle in what she hoped was a realistic labor contraction. |

ooc: LAPD? Weren't we just driving out of Sacramento??? That's an awefully long way, I'm confused lol. And also, aren't these police sent by the Governator because of the Starfleet officers? bic: Mustering up his best lie-act, Faelon turned on the tears: "I'm so sorry officer, I'm sorry that we're speedy like this...but you see, my wife over here is expecting today, and we're in terrible trouble...she needs to go to the hospital now, or else she'll have to deliver the baby right here in the car! You don't want to be responsible for that, do you, sir?" |

ooc: Very well, Sacramento County Sherrif's Department it is ![]() BIC: The deputy looked into the front seat and his eyebrows shot up. Not by what was in the front, but in the back. "Well then, Sir, what are all these people doing back there?" ooc: I'm trying to play the part normally, but it's a little hard considering the scenario

OOC: This thread never ceases to amaze and amuse me. Someday I'll look back it at and tell my grandchildren about it, or have it bound into a book or sell the movie rights... BIC: "We are family," Tuvok almost coughed, finding it hard to lie, "I am her uncle Tuvie, yes, I am, and we better git our girrrl 'ere to de hospital!" he said in a mix of slangs he heard from Mr. Paris. He hoped it wouldn't be too far off, silently thanking Tom for his constant delivery of old-time antics nonetheless. And yet feeling quite silly at the same time. When the officer remained silent, Tuvok added: "T'is my wife Kathy 'ere, say hullo to the nice officer, Kathy!" Edited by Tuvok, Mar 3 2009, 02:49 PM.

"They were all at the house when the contractions started, officer, and we only have one car, so we all had to get in and hurry out to the hospital! You're going to make her late, do you really want to deliver a baby right here yourself? None of us knows how, so you'd have to do it. Either that, or you could let us get to the hospital!" |

ooc: It's not going to be that easy ![]() . BIC: He looked down, thinking quickly. These people matched the description of the fugitives, but if they were really in a medical emergency... he came up with a solution. . "Very well. Help your wife into my car- I'll drive her there. You may follow behind me, but if you deviate you'll be pulled over. Is that clear?" |

Tuvok was quick thinking this time. "You see her situation is serious. None of us is a doctor and you are neither and the way she looks [OOC: Actually, I expect Phantom to die from surpressed laughter and hysterical nervousness for equal parts any second BIC:] I will not allow that anyone touched her but trained staff. Or do you want to take the responsibility if anything goes wrong?" Tuvok hoped that this saved them from "helping" Phantom out of the car but who knows what else this officer was going to come up with... |

"I'M HAVING A BABY, CAN WE GET A MOVE ON?!?!?!" Phantom screamed in the general direction of the officer. She was terrified that this wasn't going to work, and that if she moved, the sweatshirt would fall out and ruin the charade, so the panic in her voice was not entirely feigned. Janeway tried to reason with the man. "We really need to go right now; she's been in labor for almost an hour and the baby could be coming any minute. If we stay here talking about it, she could die!" Most of those facts were made up on the spot, so Janeway hoped she was either a very good guesser, or the officer didn't know anything about pregnancy. |

ooc: suddenly disappeared? lol bic: Trying to think of some way to distract the officer, Faelon took it a step further: "Um, officer, you assumed that she's my wife...BAD IDEA, sir, very bad idea, you've just opened up a whole new can of worms, and if we don't get her away from you right now she's gonna start nagging and crying and then that baby is certain to come--" While he was talking, and just as Harry disappeared, he furtively opened a water bottle and poured its contents all over Phantom's legs. "Oh look, her water broke!!!" His eyes darted back and forth in a shifty manner because he realized too late that that should probably have happened before, when the labor started...It was even more awkward because he hadn't noticed that Harry had spontaneously vanished. |
