OOC: ROFL!! First day with the emotion chip... xD Most hilarious ep ever...=P |
![]() Kryslynn DiCaprio Race: Half Kirian, Half Human Kirians The Kirian Race is a species I created. They're from the M Class Planet, Rianika and have an extra marker in the blood known as Luminol, giving off a glow. Kirians are also Neophasic. They can pass through solid objects except for dense metals or biomatter. Adrenaline in the system nullifies that rule.

ooc: Me too! I've had it stuck in my head now. |

(While Tom watches tv) Torres: It was pretty boring, until Ensign Farley started snoring and then no one could keep a straight face. Of course, the Doctor wasn't at all amused. Paris: Oo! Hockey! Torres: It was a shame that we had to cut the lecture short, but the warp core overloaded and then the Borg invaded and we were all assimilated. Paris: Ah ha. Torres: You haven't heard a single thing I've said, have you?

ooc: Lol, anyways... ic: The scan revealed humanoid life forms on the fifth planet of the system. Major cities and several space ports indicated an advanced society. |

OOC: Edited my part to match the continuity, I said Nebula in my song because that's all I could think of, but everyone else said system, like a solar system, which actually fits much better..... |

ooc: Post away! This is a partial free-for-all, the only thing that's planned is who's causing the singing and why. |

ooc: We found an external signal interfering with the ship's comm. We couldn't block it or use shields or dampening fields to stop it, so we followed it to a solar system. We're heading for the only planet with life forms on it, and it looks like an advanced civilization. Meanwhile, the singing goes on.

B'Elanna looked out the view screen at the planet. (tune: Belle from Beauty and the Beast) Little town Is it a quiet village Something there Making us all sing? Little town Full of evi people Waking up to say: A ship! A ship! A ship! A ship! A ship! |

Harry whose throat was parched began to sing the next lines to B'elanna's song no matter how much he resisted. (tune: Belle from Beauty and the Beast - continued) No doubt that anyone Who just so happens To walk around on open ground Will then look up to the sky Scratch his head and wonder why Any ship would come to this secluded town... |

A random crewman piped up in perfect time with the song. "We're being hailed!" "On screen." The music abruptly switched off, and for the briefest moment, Janeway hoped the aliens had decided Voyager looked intimidating enough that they shouldn't mess with it. Then the viewscreen came on. There was a choir standing there, an entire choir of humanoid aliens with long, floppy ears and faintly pink skin. And they were all singing. [To the tune of Ode to Joy] Aliens: Welcome, ship of singing people! We are glad you made it here! If you don't attack us outright, You have nothing now, to fear. Janeway: I am captain Kathryn Janeway of the starship Voyager... Aliens: We already know about you Thanks to our comm monitors. When we saw you, sad and songless, We decided to assist. Now you have the joy of singing, Impossible to resist! Janeway: If you don't mind, we would prefer music-less interaction. We are not quite used to singing To conduct such transactions. In perfect time with the end of the song, there was a collective gasp from the choir. Apparently this wasn't a socially-acceptable suggestion. |

ooc: Oops, forgot to add this! ic: NPC Choir Another song started up, unfamiliar to the Voyager crew, but that an attentive science fiction fan from the 20th century might recognize as the theme song to a popular show starring William Shatner. One choir member stepped forward to sing a solo, but Janeway's suggestion had so rattled him that his voice was ever-so-slightly cracked and off-pitch. [To the tune of the original Star Trek theme] "Is theeeere someone else we can talk to?" ooc: Anyone who wants to can jump in here and be the diplomat.
