Ooc: I've always been the type of person who tries to dig it out of their own minds first..... =P |
![]() Kryslynn DiCaprio Race: Half Kirian, Half Human Kirians The Kirian Race is a species I created. They're from the M Class Planet, Rianika and have an extra marker in the blood known as Luminol, giving off a glow. Kirians are also Neophasic. They can pass through solid objects except for dense metals or biomatter. Adrenaline in the system nullifies that rule.

ooc:Oh, I agree- don't use the internet as a crutch. But if you'd ask someone else anyway... |

ooc: well, chaimster... I generally ask people when I want an immediate answer to a question, and if I know that they can tell me the answer, I generally hate when they tell me to look it up on the internet. ![]() So I can totally relate with Krys....

NPC Choir The choir began looking more and more confused, and even more snatches of unrelated song burst out of the individual members. Suddenly, another figure stomped in and blocked the choir from view with his back. "Silence!" he cried in a very loud treble C. The choir obeyed immediately, and the figure turned to glare at the viewscreen. Because he was located so close to the visual transmitter, his head filled almost the entire screen. His floppy ears took up the rest. "I am the conductor," he said--said, not sang, though the tone of his voice had a naturally musical quality to it. "Why have you disrupted our welcome choir?" |

ooc: Which is fine if it's a question like, say, "how many bits are in a bite?" But if it's something like, "what's an IP address?" i.e. something that'll take around 20 minutes to answer, that's when it gets a bit... frustrating Not to say I don't like helping people (as I hope I've shown at this point).oh, can we talk too? B'Elanna stepped forward. "Sir, let me properly introduce myself. My name is B'Elanna Torres. I am the engineer of the USS Voyager." For a brief second B'Elanna thought that maybe the captain should have spoken. However, it was a little too late to stop. "I myself, an half human and half Klingon. Those are two completely different races back in the Alpha Quadrant, the Quadrant that this ship and most of the crew come from. There are many different people here. Everyone is unique and special because we all are different. We have Vulcans- a species that uses logic, a Talaxian, an Ocampa- a species that only lives 9 years, Bajoran, even some former Borg. And that's not even touching on the different humans on board. Some are female, some male. All are from different places and like different things. Not all like ice cream, some like fruit ices. Some humans play the flute, while others might play a different instrument. Some might not be able to play an instrument but can sing along with the music. You see, Mr. Conductor, the thing that makes this ship, Voyager, so amazing is that we are all different. Its what causes our harmony. By making us all sing, it changes the melody that we have been using to created that beautiful harmony." Edited by Rose, Feb 1 2011, 05:36 PM.

(While Tom watches tv) Torres: It was pretty boring, until Ensign Farley started snoring and then no one could keep a straight face. Of course, the Doctor wasn't at all amused. Paris: Oo! Hockey! Torres: It was a shame that we had to cut the lecture short, but the warp core overloaded and then the Borg invaded and we were all assimilated. Paris: Ah ha. Torres: You haven't heard a single thing I've said, have you?

ooc: That was a brilliant way of explaining that. ic: The aliens had made it pretty clear they didn't want to talk to Janeway, and she was relieved to see them respond more positively to the other crew members. NPC Conductor The choir was hushed behind the conductor as he scrutinized B'Elanna through large milky eyes. "You have... non-vocal harmonies? We would very much like to witness this." |

Rezit spoke up. "I believe a perfect example would be how we interact with each other in Engineering!" |

B'Elanna nodded. "If you were to just come on board and watch us live our normal day, you would see the harmony. Sir, we are a songless choir of people, creating musicless songs. From engineering, to the bridge crew, to just friendly chatter in the messhall, its all a beautiful harmony." |

NPC Conductor "I and three of my backups will observe your so-called harmonies. Now, if that is acceptable?" The aliens were clearly eager to find an explanation for the disruption to their social patterns. |

B'Elanna glanced at Captain Janeway and took a step back. She knew it was not her place to allow other races on board without the captain's permission. |

Janeway nodded her approval to B'Elanna, not wanting to ruin the negotiating by interrupting. |
