Harry's scans revealed an energy trail, possibly from the personal shields, leading down a cavern to the left.

Meanwhile, Daki smiled at Krys. "Don't worry, Mother," he said in his in-character voice. "I will protect you!"

Pordin poked Renalia. "Hey, if that projection is Singularity, who can I be?"

She shrugged. "You could be one of the sidekicks that we were originally going to project."

He brightened. "Okay!" He then poked David. "Hey, you can be the other sidekick. We go with Brightstar and help him defeat Singularity. I'll be Journeyman and you can be Voyager."

ooc: Couldn't resist. :p

"I'm the one with the ray gun why do I have to be protected? Also what about cooler sidekick names? Gandalf and Aragon?"
"So... I lied. I cheated. I bribed men to cover the crimes of other men. I am an accessory to murder. But the most damning thing of all... I think I can live with it. And if I had to do it all over again, I would. Garak was right about one thing, a guilty conscience is a small price to pay for the safety of the Alpha Quadrant. So I will learn to live with it. Because I can live with it. I can live with it... Computer, erase that entire personal log."

Harry inwardly rolled his eyes at David while noticing how Krys was also on the verge of face-palming.

"Singularity seems to have gone down this way," he said nudging his head towards the tunnel to the left. "My scans show the...bad guys...went down this path. Let's follow them!"

"Right." David made sure he caught up with Harry and Krys. "Hey if we are going to keep up this charade then why not make it a bit fun? Yes there is that issue of the two guys who have very advance technology and they also know way too much about us but we owe it to these kids. After all we are the ones who brought those guys down here."

"Yes, but these kids are completely convinced anything and everything around them is part of the game and probably being 'projected,'" she made quotation marks with her finger to emphasize 'projected,' "by us. I told Daki straight to his face in the utmost sincerity that this was not a game and he could be killed. His reaction was to laugh, applaud my character skills and assign me to play as his mother. Do I look like I've born a teenager?? We can make it as fun as we want and they can't even tell."

Race: Half Kirian, Half Human

Kirians
The Kirian Race is a species I created. They're from the M Class Planet,
Rianika and have an extra marker in the blood known as Luminol,
giving off a glow. Kirians are also Neophasic. They can
pass through solid objects except for dense metals or
biomatter. Adrenaline in the system nullifies that rule.

"As I said we keep this act up but only to a point. I know what I am doing for the most part. We need to convince them that those guys aren't projections without violating the prime directive." David said. "What do we know about these strangers in orange? Our weapons don't work on them although I like you idea of directed fire. Our communicators don't work but our tricorders do. Hang on, what if we try to get our communicators to work and possibly boost the signal by rigging it up to a modified tricorder? If we can't boost the signal and/or use directed phaser fire to bring down their force fields then here is what we are going to do." He paused
"I can use my tricorder to to find a weak point in the cave walls and ceiling. I have a backup phaser and once those guys come after us I will fire it at the weak point, bringing that section of the cave down on them and most likely myself. Once that happens, whatever interference they are projecting will be down and then you will contact Voyager and beam the rest of the away team out of here. You can somehow convince these kids that it is all part of the movie. That is an order. If needed I will sacrifice myself to get the rest of you out of here. Got it?" He said looking both of them in the eye. "My tricorder will have all my info on what was said and what was done. I will give it to you one I have found the weak spot. Make sure you note it that I take full responsibility for what has happened here. Yes I know that it can be argued that it was not my fault but I still feel that I have to take responsibility as the chief of security for this away team."

When the dust cleared substantially he began looking for Lt. Torres.

"Lieutenant," he said as loudly as he dared, climbing over rubble. "Where are you? Are you all right?"

OOC: Uh oh... is B'Elanna okay?

Pordin cheerfully agreed with David's suggestion. "Okay! I'll be Gandalf, and you be Aragorn!" He pulled Renalia aside to inform her of the new names, giving the Starfleet officers a chance to discuss their plan.

Meanwhile, Daki noticed Larson searching among the rubble. "What's wrong?" he asked. "Are you looking for the forehead lady? She's over there," he said, pointing to a very dusty-looking Torres leaning against the wall. Except for some scratches, she seemed unharmed.

ooc: Since this is a housecleaning story, we generally avoid severe injuries and keep the tone a little more lighthearted. :)

ooc: it just occurred to me that we're probably all just covered in dust and debris.

OOC: I know that, but we have to ask the question, right? Just to set reader's minds at ease. ;)

You'e right, nth, we're all as dusty as old rag mops!

BIC: "I'm glad you're okay," he said to B'Elanna. "What should we do now?"

Torres was the ranking officer here, and as usual, Larson looked to the ranking officer for direction.

B'Elanna had her eyes closed, thinking. She glanced at the two "kids" who were seeing everything as a game. They had no worries, and in such were dangerous. "Family meeting!"

As all the Starfleet officers gathered around she smiled at Daki. "I need 5 minutes to deal with a few things. Is that ok with you?"
(While Tom watches tv)
Torres: It was pretty boring, until Ensign Farley started snoring and then no one could keep a straight face. Of course, the Doctor wasn't at all amused.
Paris: Oo! Hockey!
Torres: It was a shame that we had to cut the lecture short, but the warp core overloaded and then the Borg invaded and we were all assimilated.
Paris: Ah ha.
Torres: You haven't heard a single thing I've said, have you?

The group huddled a little bit of a distance from the avid film-makers, their faces pale with dust.

"So, what's the plan, mommy?"

Larson waited to see what Torres had planned. He suspected it involved martial arts or hand-to-hand combat, but would have to hear it first.
