Hayate is tall and lean. His muscles have a moderate definition. He has recently gained a small amount of weight due to stress, he lost not only a student but his nephew. His skin tends to be rather tan, partially due to a large amount of time spent outdoors. This skin is tough and resilient and Hayate doesn't have many scars. His face is proportionate, and often sports a layer of stubble and a relaxed expression.
Clothing/Accessories:
Time has taught Hayate that less is more as a shinobi. Moving away from the armour clad look he had previously worn, Hayate tends to wear the plain shinobi clothes. Why? He's not anything special, so why should he dress like it? His standard black shirt and pants are covered by a blue vest and over it all is an extra-thick and padded flak jacket. His final touch is a matching blue scarf worn around his neck. While Hayate used to generally wear his forehead protector at his waist, he now generally wears it as a band on his left bicep. At his waist and thigh, pouches for weapons accommodate whatever his jacket can't. However, instead of sandals, Hayate wears thick black rubber boots which have a metal plating on the shin.
Personality:
Hayate tends to be a very bright and loving man. He enjoys encouraging others and lifting their spirits. While his personality tends to seem lackadaisical and festive, on the inside Hayate is very serious. He feels the weight of his clan, his village, and his students on his shoulders every moment. This realization is due to the loss of both his nephew and student, who is currently imprisoned as a missing ninja. If it wasn't for his jokes and attempts to live life with joy, he would have succumbed to depression long ago. He lives to protect. Those he protects give him strength to live. Hayate is by no means afraid to show his emotions though. No real man should be.
Along with his own ideology, Hayate carries the Will of Fire instilled in him by his clan and village. He has passed it to the next generation in his teachings and believes the Will of Fire is more than just inner strength. It, like his own beliefs, is strength that comes from those you love. While Hayate is proud of his job as both an academy teacher and sensei, he does hope that one day he could become leader of the Senju clan and revitalize it.
A Brief Biography- by Senju Hayate:
Born on a cold and windy night in Konoha, my mother named me after the wind itself. Hayate. Sometimes I felt like more of a burden, growing up. My family was loving and caring, at least by the standards of a shinobi family. Growing up my older brother was always ahead of me, and not just by seven years, but by most shinobi things. He blazed through the academy and lightened my father and mothers life. I on the other hand, was a sickly child, and a burden. And the biggest burden of all to my older brother. In a violent skirmish with a group of missing ninjas who had attacked various outposts in the fire country, I lost both my parents at the age of six.
I had been thrust upon Itaru and forced him into a pseudo-fatherhood at the age of thirteen. He didn't care and often told me I really was not a burden. In between his work as a Genin to pay the bills, he taught and cared for me. Itaru made me the man I am today. As I grew older, he placed his trust in me and told me the secrets of our clan, our village. He taught me everything I know and prepared me along with the Senju elders for my life as a shinobi. At that point, as a twelve-year old I finished the academy with ease. Upon graduation, my brother gave me a firm hug, and notified me he too had achieved a new rank this day. While slightly saddened at the fact my brother was both my guardian and eternal rival, I celebrated.
I found myself excelling at Taijutsu against my fellow team members, but unlike my brother, I had failed to utilize any of the Senju abilities I was rewarded on birth. It was at the urging of my sensei- an Inuzuka, that I sought out further training. I spent countless nights reading the scrolls within the great libraries of my clans compounds. However- I found myself more fascinated with the genjutsu I had come across. I made a mental note that summer.
I also learned that I had sensory abilities that summer, which along with a Hyuuga, Aburame, and an Inuzuka gained our Genin squad the title of "The Tracking Team." From seeds, to bugs, to three-hundred-sixty degree xray vision, we were very skilled at finding things. Fast forward quite a few cat catching missions and I found myself with quite a few Mokuton based jutsu in my possesion, and even some basics of my Suiton element. More importantly, I found myself capable of a plethora of genjutsu that I had devoted my time to learning. With this confidence and skill, I was enrolled along with my teammates in the Chuunin tests.
My team fought a long and hard battle against a Chuunin who had used both Katon and Doton styled taijutsu. Our lack in speed, strength, and our natural elemental disadvantage had made it a tough battle. I, however, had a trick up his sleeve. His Hyuuga team mate was barely able to stand, and the Aburame was in a similar state of exhaustion. In a final attempt, I was able to put the Chuunin into a Genjutsu where I controlled the outcome. Whether pure luck or pure strategical ingenuity, I had bought enough time for the Hyuuga to block a few major chakra points. Doubling back as our opponent still had enough energy to use his explosive taijutsu, my Aburame teammate use his bugs to over run and restrain my opponent.
At the age of fifteen, I had become a Chuunin, and my brother, now in his mid-twenties was both a Jounin and married man with a baby on the way. This good news was short lived. On a warm summer night, the Jinchuuriki who held one of our villages Genma was unable to contain it. In a rampage, the Genma murdered my brother Itaru. His grieving wife and I barely were able to pick ourselves up from the disaster- though truthfully we would never be the same. I had realized that being serious was no way to live. I only have so many years left in my life as a shinobi, so I should live them out in joy. While I wish I could say the same for my brothers wife, without him she grew week. Deathly ill, her baby was all that she lived for, all that she had to draw strength from and fight to live. On a cold December night, he was born, and she perished. I promised her I would look after Itaru- named after his father in hopes he would become the man his father was, and carry both their dreams.
Now around sixteen, I fought for custody of my nephew, but failed, as I was too young and had too many ongoing missions. I worked hard to amass enough yen for a stable life. Eventually, with permission, I left Konoha for a hiatus of three years in order to gain a large sum of yen. With this yen, I convinced the Senju elders upon my return that I could give a stable upbringing to my nephew, and that his parents would have wanted me to raise him. Taking a job as an academy teacher, I worked a stable job within Konoha while raising my young nephew. I tried my best to instill honour, the Will of Fire, and the love that his parents would want him to receive. I failed in the end... When my nephew was nine, I enrolled him in the academy and taught him myself every night after work. I taught him his fathers knowledge and the same way his father taught me. I even gave him a few of Itaru's scrolls which detailed his idea of a Pollen extension of our bloodline in hopes he would one day accomplish it- which he did! Anyhow, now around twenty-four, I ranked up to a Special Jounin in the field of tracking. I used my sensory skills to participate in high earning missions, and continued to raise Itaru junior.
Missions and injuries later, I found myself the sensei to a team of bright and promising genin, and while still a teacher, a friend to the Jinchuuriki of the very genma who killed my brother. I recognized the chakra, the sinister being, and afraid he had escaped had found this Jinchuuriki. I learned to overlook the beast within instantly, and found a kind, compassionate, and strong boy who happened to be a Jinchuuriki. Not a beast. This however, drove my nephew into anger. I befriended, in his eyes, the thing that killed my brother and guardian. His father and indirectly his mother. In spite he screamed at me, and I didn't see him again for quite some time. He left Konoha. I failed him and his mother and father, and that is something I will never be able to fix. I cannot be forgiven. Itaru is currently in prison at the time I am writing this, and it pains me. I visit him, but he is distant from me. I don't know what happened when he was a missing ninja, but I do know all that lays ahead is the future, and the future is what I make it.

Utilizing his above average control and wit Hayate has reached an ultimate level of Genjutsu mastery, hypnosis. Affected targets respond differently to hypnosis based on their wit.
Targets with less than 1/2 of the user's wit find themselves in complete servitude.
Targets with 1/2-3/4 of the user's wit find themselves able to slightly resist, questioning and free to think, but still in servitude.
Targets with 3/4 to the same amount as the user's wit find themselves able to resist with only minor servitude.
Targets with more than the user's wit find themselves unharmed by hypnosis.

Back -1x Tengoku no Monban (Heaven's Gatekeeper is a special fan crafted by the finest tradesmen in Konohagakure. It is almost five feet in height and when fully extended, nearly five feet at it's widest point. Much like Hayate's War Fans, the Monban's fan is composed of multiple layers of chakra reinforced tempered steel, making it capable of being used as a defensive weapon. Thanks to both it's physical structure and it's chakra reinforcement, this fan can easily shrug off A-ranked and lower ninjutsu techniques. The fan is a bright orange with intricate black flames decorating it. It's sheer size and color naturally catch the human eye. However, unlike it's smaller predecessors, this fan sacrifices offensive strength for utility, leaving it no cutting ability. Instead, the top of the fan has a very shallow channel, which leads down each spoke to the handle of the fan. This allows the user to release chakra through the top of the fan for various purposes. Finally, like the War Fans, this fan has two thick, extremely durable pieces of tempered steel that form their bases. A small protruding half-bar on each base allows the closed fan to gain a handle, and thus be used as a giant bludgeon.)
Waist -2x War Fans (Around 14 inches in height and about the same with at it's widest point, these fans are composed of a orange-stained extremely durable layers of steel attached to various iron spokes. The fan is about as sharp as a fine katana. Two extremely durable tempered steel bars form the bases of each fan. The fan is extremely strong against physical attacks and due tochakra reinforcement and they are impervious to C-Rank and lower ninjutsu techniques. The base pieces have a small, five inch half-bar of steel that allows the fans to be compacted and used as blunt force bludgeons. The Orange color and black flame design on the bottom help draw attention to the weapons.)
*Chakra Kai E-Ranked Ninjutsu A jutsu used with the purpose of activating seals and a range of devices and weapons, this technique begins with a single handseal. Once this has been performed, the user will focus a dollop of his/her chakra into what s/he is looking to activate in order to complete the task. Seals activated with this technique must be within 20 yards of the user's position.
Chakra Wave D-Ranked Nintaijutsu A technique utilizing raw chakra, the Chakra Wave technique creates additional concussive force when striking. After channeling chakra into either a weapon or fists, the user will attempt to make contact with the opponent. In the event that the strike is successful, the impact gains a concussive force of one exploding tag which travels through the object that was hit.
*Grouping Chakra Kai D-Ranked Ninjutsu Prerequisite: Chakra Kai By utilizing the fundamentals of Chakra Kai, this jutsu allows the user to activate multiple seals at a single time rather than needing to cast multiple uses of Chakra Kai. This can only be used on the same seal, meaning the user can't activate three different seals, but s/he can activate up to three of a single seal with this jutsu. This technique's range depends on the type of Chakra Kai used to activate it.
*Boomerang Projectile D-Ranked Ninjutsu Typically used on projectile weapons with a less than stellar range of use, the user of this technique is able to have his/her weapons act like a boomerang through use of chakra. After completing a short set of handseals, the user will imbue their weapon with chakra before throwing it. The weapon will move at a speed dependent on the user's strength, and once it reaches its peak distance, the chakra will slowly disperse, bringing it back around toward the user at two less speed than it was thrown. If the user does not catch the weapon, it will travel for 15 yards past its starting point before stopping. Weapons included in this technique can be no larger than kunai.
*Focus D-Ranked Ninjutsu A technique focused on boosting the user's control, Focus begins with a set of handseals. Once they are completed, the user will slow down (-1 speed) in order to obtain better focus and control (+1 control) over his/her techniques. This technique lasts for three (3) posts.
Opening the Mind C-Ranked Ninjutsu A technique focused on boosting the user's wit and ability to think under fire, Opening the Mind begins with a set of handseals. Once they are completed, the user will become weaker and slower (-1 speed and strength) in order to obtain a calmer state of mind, allowing them to think and process the events around them quicker. (+2 Wit). This technique lasts for three (3) posts.
*Spiritualism Technique C-Ranked Ninjutsu The base technique for summoning, the Spiritualism Technique allows users to bring forth their summons to fight on their behalf. Once an agreement has been made between the user and his/her summon, s/he will be able to use this technique to call upon it at any time unless stated otherwise. The chakra used for this technique varies, as it is dependent on the size and rank of what is being summoned. Once it has been summoned, the user will experience a constant drain on his/her chakra for as long as the summon is in place. This drain is also dependent on the size and rank of the summon.
Kogata Rasengan • Small Spiral Sphere C-Ranked Ninjutsu The technique is unlike other jutsu in that it does not require any handseals, it just relied on the ninja's ability to mold chakra. The ninja molds a contained, fast, rotating sphere of chakra in the palm of their hand which can cause a destructive impact with a force of three (3) exploding tags.
*Hidden Leaf Assailant B-rank Ninjutsu A ninjutsu utilized by the sneakier of the Hidden Leaf Village ninja, this technique can be very useful for killing quickly and silently. The primary requirement however, is not being noticed. So long as they are hidden from view they can do it. The ninja will simply throw a multitude of chakra coated leaves into the area surrounding their target. The chakra will cause the leaves to rapidly multiply, creating a cloud of leaves. The ninjutsu user can simply jump into the cloud and grab many leaves, which will cause those leaves to get as sharp as a kunai. Allowing them to use it to assassinate the opponent or throw a barrage of leaf kunai.

Agility Training D-Ranked Taijutsu Suou has spent time training her strength, agility, and speed allowing her to move fluidly within the bounds of her own limits. This along with repeated practice makes Suou capable of acrobatic feats such as rolls and cart wheels which can be used for evading attacks or even moving into a position for an attack.
Ambidexterity D-Rank Taijutsu Pre-requisite: 5 Taijutsu A product of countless hours of practice and peak physical condition, Kuseikatsu has developed ambidexterity. Kuseikatsu can switch between either hand with ease while still utilizing his full skill.
*Skillful Wield D-Ranked Taijutsu Prerequisite: 3 wit With a solid foundation of knowledge on their choice of weaponry, those with the Skillful Wield technique are able to utilize their weapon more fully. By knowing the weapon's weakest points, the user is able to avoid presenting these areas to damage during combat, thus making their weapon less likely to break by means of recklessness.
*Seamless Skill D-Ranked Taijutsu Prerequisite: 3 wit A skill utilized by those on the path to mastery of their weapon, users of Seamless Skill are actively able to transition between offensive and defensive usage of the aforementioned weapon. By transitioning so seamlessly, the user is able to save a marginal amount of energy while attacking.
Skull Cracker D-Rank Taijutsu A technique designed to interrupt or harm foes, the user pulls their weapon up slightly, which makes them seem open, and then waits for a foe to get close. Instead of bringing the entire weapon down, the user yanks the hilt down to smash the foe on the head or smash an incoming weapon. This gives the user a very fast opening to bring their whole weapon down in a cleaving smash that, with the right amount of force behind it, can be devestating.
Trauma C-Rank Kenjutsu Utilizing both strength, timing, and the large weight of his blunt weapons, Hayate aims an attack with excessive force, usually towards a soft area of the target's body. This is a blune force trauma and causes internal bleeding. This cause a loss of one stamina, and if the user overexerts themselves by moving at a speed greater than six for up to one post they will start to bleed worse, losing up to an additional point of stamina.
Joint Cracker C-Rank Kenjutsu Pre-requisite: 6 Taijutsu, 6 Wit, Ambidexterity, Two Blunt Heavy Weapons Quickly moving in close to a foe the user swings a bludgeon towards the enemies skull forcing the enemy to focus on that attack. Simultaneously, they swing a second bludgeon towards an open join on the opponents body aiming to severly break or injure said joint.

Wood Release • Pillar E-Ranked Ninjutsu By performing the hand seals Hayate is able to quickly raise a pillar around two meters high and a foot thick anywhere in his immediate radius.
Wood Release • Revitalize E-Ranked Ninjutsu Pre-req: 7 Control By performing the proper hand seals and making physical contact with a creation, such as a mokuton-based clone, Hayate can revatlize it and effectively save chakra. While the chakra cost is still close in the rank to that of the original jutsu, the reason this allows Hayate save chakra is because he can revitalize partially destroyed shells of his creations instead of creating whole new ones.
Wood Release • Wall D-Ranked Ninjutsu By performing the hand seals Hayate is able to quickly raise a wooden wall to a maximum of three meters high and a foot and a half thick anywhere in his immediate radius.
~ Wood Release • Seed Tracker Technique D-rank Ninjutsu By closing their palm and performing a hand seal with the other, the user can create anywhere from one to twenty small, grain sized seeds. These seeds are part of the user, meaning they are easily able to feel them for long distances and use them to track either by planting them on a subject or tricking one into ingesting them. The maximum distance the user can feel the target away is 10 miles. It does not provide pinpoint tracking; however, it only provides a general 'feel' for the target's direction and presence. On clothing, the seed lasts a long period of time, roughly 10 Posts, but when ingested it lasts considerably shorter in return for the more 'sure fire' method of tracking, lasting only 6 Posts.
~ Wood Release • Wood Weapon Creation Technique D-rank Ninjutsu Focusing their chakra, the user may use any pre-existing source of wood, be it a tree, floorboards or a Mokuton created source, to create weapons. The weapon created depends entirely on the user and the amount and size can be as large as the source wood. It may also be used to create multiple of smaller weapons such as Kunai, though multiple weapons take more time. This is limited to simple weapons like but not limited to swords, kunai, shuriken, senbon, and staves.
~ Wood Release • Wood Locking Wall C-Ranked Ninjutsu By performing the hand seals and focusing, the user is able to summon several pillars of wood from the ground on each side of themselves. These pillars then bend and meet halfway locking together and creating a half-dome in front of the user. This half dome is approximately 7x7x7 feet and is a surprisingly capable defensive barrier.
~ Wood Release • Great Wood Clone C-Ranked Ninjutsu The user forms hand seals and causes beams of wood to emerge from their body. This wood will morph and form a clone of the user. Unlike the lower-ranked version, the Great Wood clone is capable of using one Mokuton jutsu fueled independently by itself. It's stats are as follows.

~ Wood Release • Four Pillar Prison Technique B-ranked Ninjutsu After performing a series of hand seals, the user focuses on the ground around a target or group of targets and from the ground wooden beams rise around them. These beams connect overhead and underground, forming a roof and bars with about two inches of space between them. The prison can be as large as 8x8x8 Feet. It heavily resists internal and external damage, taking at least a strength of seven to harm it. The user can also repair damage as it occurs, allowing it to self-repair to a point if the user wishes to spend more chakra.

Water Tendrils I D-Ranked Ninjutsu By performing the correct hand seals, Hayate causes four massive watery tendrils to emerge from his back. These tendrils can reach to a maximum of four meters long and move at a speed equal to his control with a maximum of six. They have a physical power equivalent to a strength of three. The tendrils are almost impervious to physical attacks due to the nature of water and how it envelops and seperates instead of being destroyed. This is not the case for ninjutsu however. The tendrils remain in the users control as long as the user maintains the final handseal. This can be held for a maximum of three posts.
Breath Water D-Ranked Ninjutsu By performing the correct hand seals, Hayate is able to allow his body to pull the oxygen from water for up to five posts, effectively allowing him to breath water and eliminate the potential for drowning in his own jutsu.
Water Clone Distraction D-ranked Suiton Ninjutsu After performing the required seals, the user will be able to create five clones made of water. These clones will move at the speed of the users control with a maximum of six, but have no physical substance besides their bodies of water. They are unable to attack and any damage will detsroy them, bursting with no force into large puddles of water. This mainly serves as an alternative to the basic clones and is used generally to confuse the opponent.
*Umbrella Defense D-Rank Suiton Ninjutsu After performing a set of seals, the user will be able to create a solid, yet watery defense. Once the seals are performed, the user will spray water created from the inside of their chest through their mouth. Once the water is expelled, it will form sort of an umbrella shape that is concave to the user and about two meters in diameter. This defense can be formed in any direction the user can spit, up to two meters away. Once created, it lasts for three posts before falling lifelessly to the ground.
*Slippery Catch Technique D-Rank Suiton Ninjutsu After performing a string of seals, the user will coat their body in Suiton chakra. What this technique does is give their whole body a slippery feel to it. This may aid in escaping binds, grappling techniques and may even deflect weak physical blows. This technique lasts for three posts and can only affect the user.
Water Tendrils II C-Ranked Ninjutsu By performing the correct hand seals, Hayate causes six massive watery tendrils to emerge from his back. These tendrils can reach to a maximum of six meters long and move at a speed equal to his control with a maximum of eight. They have a physical power equivalent to a strength of five. The tendrils are almost impervious to physical attacks due to the nature of water and how it envelops and seperates instead of being destroyed. This is not the case for ninjutsu however. The tendrils remain in the users control as long as the user maintains the final handseal. This can be held for a maximum of three posts.
*Water Vortex C-Rank Suiton Ninjutsu Prerequisite: The intended target must be on top of water This technique is meant to immobilize and capture a target without dealing any type of fatal blow. After performing the required seals, the user will churn chakra in a body of water. The water will then engulf the target, trapping them in a vortex about two meters in diameter. However, for this technique to be used, the user must be within five meters of the target when the vortex is initially created and must stand within one meter of the vortex after the target is caught. Once the target is inside, the user must hold the last seal and cannot use any other techniques. The technique lasts one post for every two points of stamina the user has. In order to escape, the target must have a strength higher than the user’s control and physically make their way out, or the user must be disrupted. Most shinobi would pass out after two posts due to a lack of oxygen. However, if a target possesses a stamina stat of six or seven, it would require three posts for them to pass out. Should the target possess a stamina stat of eight or nine, it would require five posts for them to pass out, but anything higher would allow them to resist passing out altogether.
*Imitation Surfing C-Rank Suiton Ninjutsu Meant to use water as a method of travel, the user will form the required seals and summon a large wave from under their feet. By using chakra, they will be able to stand on top of the wave as the wave progresses forward at a speed equal to the user’s control. The wave can move at a maximum speed of eight. Standing at about three meters high and five meters wide, the wave does no extra damage to any target aside from the force of the rushing water. The maximum distance that can be traveled by this technique is equal to the average of the user’s control and stamina stat multiplied by five in meters.
*Water Vortex C-Rank Suiton Ninjutsu Prerequisite: The intended target must be on top of water This technique is meant to immobilize and capture a target without dealing any type of fatal blow. *Water Dragon Projectile B-Rank Suiton Ninjutsu Water Dragon Projectile is a technique that uses the rushing force of water to cause devastating damage. By performing the required seals, the user will utilize a preexisting body of water in front of them before molding it into the form of a dragon head. Once it has been created, the user can launch the two-meter wide projectile towards a target at a speed equal to the average of their ninjutsu and control, with a maximum of ten. Following the head is a long body and tail, stretching nearly ten meters. This technique is able to travel up to thirty meters and is able to be maneuvered to an extent by the user. Up to three times the user may alter the course of the dragon, allowing it to complete a U-turn per alteration.
*Mighty Fountain B-Rank Suiton Ninjutsu Prerequisites: Guardian’s Fountain, Control Stat of 7 After performing the needed hand seals, the user strikes the ground. Upon striking the ground, they transfer chakra into the ground causing it to shake. After that has happened, a large geyser of water will erupt from underneath the target, provided they are within twenty meters of the user. The water flows upward at a speed and strength of seven, being three meters in diameter and six meters high. This technique lasts for three posts before causing the water to simply drop to the ground.
Recycling Water A-Ranked Ninjutsu By performing the correct hand seals, Hayate allows himself to tap into the water around him temporarily. For three posts, he may manipulate any nearby water source with his chakra in it. This is lmited to basic motions (linear) at a sub-par speed of eight and strength of eight.
*Aquatic Dimension A-Rank Suiton Ninjutsu By performing a string of seals, the user will focus their chakra into a four by four by four-meter area, creating a sort of barrier to trap people inside. Once trapped inside, the target(s) will be stuck within the cage with a limited amount of air, but will then have to worry about the water that will then flow into the boxed area. During every post that the cage lasts, the water level will rise one meter, flowing from the walls. By the end of four posts, the box will be completely filled with water. This technique lasts for six posts, but the user must be within ten meters during its creation and within fifteen meters in order to continually flow chakra into it. While the user may perform other actions, they effectively lose one stamina point during the duration of this technique. While inside, it takes a strength of nine to break out, but only a strength of seven to shatter it from the outside.
