How old are you? Male or female? I’m your standard 30-year-old male. What time zone are you in and what times do you normally play? I’m in PST time zone (the great NW). My play time can be a little sporadic right now just because I’m mainly doing LFG/LFR so there’s no certain time I need to be on. I am available most weeknights starting at 6pm PST (8pm server) and then whenever on weekends. What is your main character's name/level/race/class/spec/item level? That’s like asking me to pick between my kids . I haven’t really had a “main” per say for a year or two. I basically max out Valor on my three characters each week through LFRs. They are all geared pretty equally. I’ve been playing the warlock and rogue since vanilla but I probably play the druid the most now due to the faster LFR queues. Below are the links to all three. I love ‘em all and would be more than happy to help with whatever you need (if you need/want of course). Ohcapital – Level 90 – Pandaren – Rogue – Assassination/Combat – 515 (Armory Link) Ohcap – Level 90 – Worgen – Druid – Resto/Balance – 518 (Armory Link) Beezlebug – Level 90 – Gnome – Warlock – Destruction/Demo – 512 (Armory Link) What raiding alts do you have? (include realm/name/level/race/class/spec)? All three are up for grabs. More than happy to contribute/play any character you may need. Are you currently in a guild? If so, name of current guild, how long have you been with them and why do you wish to leave? I am not. I’ve been playing somewhat casually for the last year or so. Just enjoying the scenery. Picking up in LFRs, playing some horde characters on another server to experience the story, and playing around with other games. What guilds have you been in previously, how long were you there and why did you leave? The last “real” guild I was in was Already Dead during the vanilla, BC, and WoTLK days. I was there for a few years before I had to leave due to some real life commitments. I had some family issues pop up that required my attention away from the game for a while and didn’t want to leave the guild hanging wondering if/when I would be back as I was uncertain. When I did get to come back about a little over a year later, I was so far back and I still couldn’t commit the time to raiding so I just played casually for a while. Then I got into SWTOR and started raiding with Synergy which is when I got into healing. I did that for a while before the guild’s PvE team basically quit because the content was getting so stale and it went straight PvP which isn’t really my thing. Came back to my old, trusted friend WoW and started playing a lot more regularly again. Joined up with Elysian Elites to help the guy level up his guild while I leveled alts and did LFG/LFR content. It was pretty fun helping out new players with quests and teaching them how to use their class but then everyone stopped logging in and all the new people just wanted me to give them stuff or blindly run them through content without any regards to how to play their class. I ended up leaving and going it on my own again. Don’t get me wrong. I love helping people and contributing but I want to feel like it’s going somewhere and actually contributing to people being better players. Not people just wanting to insta-level and then have them plague LFRs with wipes because they don’t know how to play their class, understand a proper DPS rotation, or avoid damage. What are your game goals? Ultimately, it’s to have a good time with good people while achieving something. It’s a game. It’s meant to be fun and provide you with a sense of achievement. That’s what I like most about playing and what I’m hoping to do more of. At this point, I’m basically rinse and repeating LFRs and sometimes you get a good group and it’s a lot of fun and sometimes you get crap and it’s frustrating. Part of that achieving something is also getting better at your class. There’s always room to optimize and get better; however, to do that I think you need a somewhat consistent experience. I feel like I’ve pretty much optimized as much as I can in LFRs with the current content and I’ve got the time and drive to up it and go further with a more consistent group that is also looking to get better. Not just get better gear, but be better players. Please tell us about your experience raiding, instances/significant bosses cleared. These days it’s all in your Armory profile isn’t it . I’ve been doing LFRs for a while and have cleared all of the new content across my three characters; however, I’d say LFRs don’t really offer a “real” raiding experience. Apart from those, most recently, I was a pretty heavy raider in SWTOR for a little over a year. We (Synergy on Bastion) cleared pretty much all of it. I would switch between healing/DPS depending on what we were short that night on with a Jedi Sage and Gunslinger. During the earlier WoW days (vanilla, BC, WoTLK), I was a regular raider and made it through most of the content with the teams we could put together. Please let us know a good time to review the gear you intend to begin raiding in. We use Armory for this, so just tell us when we can look at your gear, you don't need to be logged on. Feel free to pop in whenever. Links are included above for convenience. I don’t really PvP so the gear doesn’t change too much. The only time you might see a weird thing is if I just finished a scenario on my druid. That’s pretty much the only time I put his DPS gear on. What roles are you skilled at raiding in? Tank, Heal, DPS? DPS and heals. I’ve tried tanking but I just can’t get the hang of it. How did you about us? WoW Recruiting Forums, word of mouth, etc.? WowProgress, Armory, and in-game. Anything else we need to know? Sorry, I just realized this hit three pages…. Awkward. I’m a writer by day so I tend to get carried away. The only other thing I’d mention is that I know I still have pretty crappy gear. I totally get it and don’t have an expectation that you’ll instantly need me for a raid spot or anything. I’m more than happy to sit on the sidelines and fill in as needed or just queue up for flex raids with other low iLVL characters or alts. Mainly, I’m just looking to play with good people who play because they like it and want to get better at it. |

Thanks for applying Ohcapital! We are always looking for raiders, so you're welcome to join us. However, I can't guarantee you a raid spot. Your item level is rather low to jump into an immediate raid with us. We look for at least a 540 ilvl to Join our 10m regular group. We don't run flex as a guild anymore, however if you asked in guild I'm sure someone would have an ALT that they want geared to help you out. As for your toons, they are all welcome to join. But, I would stick to the toon you play best/preform best and do the most DPS on. Make that your main and put focus on that. Next time your online just whisper anyone of our guildies and they can direct you to an officer for an invite. |

cough rogue cough......... We are always looking for friendly folks that are looking to help our guild grow. From what I read on your app you seem like you are gonna fit right in. Also we did just run a flex this week and as Base said all you gotta do is ask in guild. We have quite a few active members always looking to do something and I see numerous asking about flex it seems daily. We are an extremely active guild with 25+ members on nightly minimum so there will be plenty of things going on to keep you entertained. Also our guild is ran by 30+ yo members we don't carry kiddies around, however, we do have a "kid" rank unable to see gchat for those who have kids that play that would like them in guild.
