As a kid, I horded video game magazines. God, things where so much better, back then. No sleepless nights, no shattered nerves, no undeniable urge to kill everyone...anyway, I remember seeing an ad for this weird-ass little gameboy game about aliens invading anceint Japan. If that's not a super cool premise, nothing is! But then I dug up a walkthrough and a rom...and it got even cooler.
So, it's the Heian Period, and aliens have invaded Kyo. You play a "Kebiishi" ("knight of the past", as the manual puts it), and finding yourself without a sword or gun, you need to- and you might want to sit down for this- BURY THE ALIENS ALIVE! Yes, it's not enough to merely kill these invaders! You need to make them suffer a slow, agonizing death! It's like Bombman, but with extra cruelty!
If you like burying people alive, try hunting up a NES rom of "Booby Kids". No, it's not like that. It's like a bigger, fancier version of Heiankyo Alien, but without the cool premise (not that Megaman burying cavemen and dinosaurs isn't amusing).
