Make sure you computer specifications match the game recommended/minimum in order to play.
To find this go to the start menu, and right click on my computer. Click properties. It should tell you how much RAM you have, and you HD space.

If you have had the game installed for quite some time, through several patches. This means the game has left a lot of files it doesn't use, and it slows down your gaming.
~To Fix This~
Uninstall the game, completely. Then download the full game for the latest patch off of World of Tank's website.

Turning the graphics settings down to "Standard" will help as well.

WARNING!!!
Since the update of 7.1.1, this patch and all future patches will re-download clean files for any files tampered with. Use these edits and the tweaker at your own risk. WoT Tweaker includes a program to reset game to default to avoid this problem.
