Honeyfern curled up on the nest, as tight as a ball, and let out a long, drawled sigh. The Phantom, after what seemed like a long time to Honeyfern, walked towards her, and picked up the vole in his mouth. She only gave him a subtle glance, her eyes drawn to his scarred face for a moment, before they snapped forward, gazing up at the moonlight above. She heard his footsteps get farther and farther, but Honeyfern only continued to gaze up at the moon, as if it held the answers to all life's mysteries. She wasn't in the mood to fight back, and act like a true Thunderclan warrior. Instead, Honeyfern stayed true to herself, and closed her eyes softly. She was going to try to sleep, and gather her energy together. Escaping would be easier that way, then being exhausted, and caught easily. The last thing Honeyfern saw before falling asleep was the Phantom's eyes, before her eyelids fell heavily over her amber eyes. |
