I finished my last year of high school in June 2006. I can relate to the pain of bullying since I was bullied for years from grade 5 up until graduation. The only reason I survived was out of duty to my family and how they were always there for me. I was bullied due to social awkwardness and not catching social cues. After graduation, I worked 2 years before going to college and graduating as a paralegal. I made a few good friends. One was an older lady and the other was an immigrant from El Salvador. After graduating college, I had no luck getting work at a lawfirm, but one year later, something better happened. I got hired on as a shipper receiver at a heavy duty truck company. I get along well with my co workers and my boss, who is super patient and nice despite my once in a while social gaffes. I found my peace and good fortune. I have a wonderful common law husband who also happens to be from El Salvador. He was introduced to me by my friend from college. I also have a few more friends. I have a good paying job with a good bully free atmosphere and I am not alone. It does get better. Just focus on your studies, and be patient. Once you leave high school the rest of your life will most likely be gravy. Some good distractions in high school from the torment and pain can be getting a part time job and studying subjects you like and doing a hobby.
