Finally found a bit of time to have a fish and have a crack at the salmon. I didn't manage a salmon but picked up 4 tailor around 40cm and dropped a few more. My neighbour managed a 4kg salmon and a couple off tailor which one would have gone close to 50cm.

Cheers guys they were biting as soon as I got there which was about 6:30 till 9ish and I left them biting as I run out of mulies. Smaller hooks and I would have smashed the herring that were around 25-30cms. I know this cause I left one on the beach. If anyone is keen to join me for a fish over the next two days they are more than welcome.

Yep no shortage on herring numbers where I was either. They were that thick you could nearly walk on them. Thats a fair decent amount of time for the tailor to stay on the bite to.

yeah the herring were just beating them to the bait. i got one on my first cast and one on third last bait. and the other tow somewhere in between.
Lefty they were just down the road from where i live.
