Anyone fish last night?

Gday all, I went out last night and did not get 1 bite!

Started off at 1pm catching squid. About 15 onboard with the bait aerator running and out to north end GI inside the 5. Drifted my mates spot 5 times and not abite.

Went south to another few spots and drifted that for about 2hrs, not 1 bite there either.

Headed to a spot in 38mtrs where I have caught fish before ad again not a bite.

Went into the sound and hunted, fished any lump showing anything lively on it and still no bites. Went to where I got a PM from and still no action. Ended up sounding near Harding Rock as my mate insisted this is the spot and by this time I really couldn't give a F*%K and nothing there either.

THEN I threw 5kg of old chook pellets over and within 5 mins, hezzas, skippy and yellow tail surround the boat. I though great this will create some interest with the bigger baits and continued to fish them. 1 on the bottom and 1 out the back under a ballon. NOTHING!

That's fishing but how did any of you go out there Friday arvo/night

Was that down near the capes Goodie? I have to head down to Margs on monday to pick up some furniture, not looking great on the surf front so might chase some Salmon and Tailor on stickbaits.

Yep down at the capes matt, smaller schools now and much more spread apart but they are there. We had 2 half tone schools and a 5 tone school come through in about 2hrs.

Plenty in Perth now so they will be about for a few more weeks. First light for dem tailor

Cheers for the heads up Rob. Doesn't look like I'll make the dawny , but I'll have a hunt for some more gentlemanly hour salmon ;-)
