Gday all, Lucky enough to get out a few times.

Snapper! 23/5 The snapper are my first decent LB catch. Another forum member blindfolded me and took me to the secret spot. Total catch that night, 3 snaps and 1 gummy. Thanks mate.

Salmon! 30/5 On the way back to the ramp with my son and his mate aboard I saw a splash in the distance, lure on and trawl and watching the strikes at the back of the boat were awesome. Landed 5, kept 4 and dropped 4 or more. I was hooking them and then giving the rod to the 2 boys, both aged 7yrs. Gave 3 fish away and they were all happy with the eating quality. BBQ or cook on chimenea then make salmon patties.

Prawns! 31/5 First ever attempt at catching them from the boat. Resulted in 20. Being better prepared with a bit more knowledge I think the next session will be more fruitful. Missed a fair few due to inexperience.

Dhu!!! Last night 3/5, took 2 mates out and after catching squid and herring headed out to the 40's. A spot I marked 4 mths ago after catching a 50cm KG on the drift. After 2 hrs we talleyed 5 dhu's and 2 snapper. Kept 2 dhu's and successfully released other fish.

Cheers Fellas, I can honestly say that all these catches were from endless amounts of input from the local fishos on here that share there knowledge, and computing that knowledge into my own style of fishing. To you all a big Thankyou. And I have gained alot more respect for these people and the effort that is put into a simple "tinny trip" or "quick session down the local".
