When everyones hauling fish all at once, there's no other option than to pull up the fish and move to the next one. Then come back and de-hook and put in kill tank once all lines are up.

That tiagra was full lock and peeling line line you hooked a massive car bonnet ray. Not stopping.....
I was leaning back about 45 degs are knees into the wall of the boat. I don't think i could have lasted on stand up gear for more longer than 15mins if it had gone on. I can only assume they has some clips and back braces somewhere in the cabin.

Forgot to mention that marlin, looks like you can see it jumping in the distance. Awesome feeling i bet. Did you get the hooks back? water pressure bust off? well done on a top trip.

Yeh the slow mo bits you can see it jumping.....easy 150-200kg skipper called it on first jumps. big marlin for WA, as most that year were around 80kg mark usually.

Anyways....bust off!
First day on boat and second hook up too. Turns out guys on trip week before we arrived on their last night wrestled with some big tigers on it having some beers at night. So the leader was all scuffed up.
Skipper (Aldo) instructed deckies to not use that rod until they checked leader, but they use it anyway being the newer stronger setup. Aldo didn't say anything in front of them, but he was furious and showed me the leader which was scuffed and aplogised on behalf of deckies. Pretty much explained they weren't the best ones hes had over the years.
He wanted it as much as anyone as those skippers are credited on marlin/saily captures.
