While i have internet thought i would start a thread up about the captures I have had over here on my honeymoon. First day we arrived in Kaikoura i headed off in the arvo and found schools of Kahawai (oz salmon) feeding all over the place. After about 10 of em the sun finally set (9.30) so i thought that will do. Also went out on a charter to try and get some new ocean species to the list. Was really hoping for a Hapuku or the likes but the charter really catered for tourists and stocked them up on quality eating small fish like Blue cod and Sea perch. Also they pulled their cray pots on the way out so we got a good feed of them to. All in all ended up with a bunch of fillets and 5 crays not bad value for 100 bucks and 3hrs. in about 5 days i head south towards Queenstown so will try some rivers suggested but members for Salmon and trout. Also splashed the cash on a trout guide too so should hopefully get some good fish! Enjoy the scenery is amazing |

Isn't $100 NZ like 20 of our Australian cents? Jeez I wish I could paste in the bit from Eurotrip where the bellhop gets a nickle. |

Bride was about. Mostly when i fished i sent her off to day spas. Next time its cone back with more fly fishing experience and more time to really understand the place. Sitting in queenstown airport now. I hate flying so much! Will do a full wrap up sometime over the weekend i think. Straight out on friday night for a night session a preston beach |
