Decided do go to an old spot for some whiting (love them). Was a little hard going at times (because of the wind mainly) but managed to get enough for a family feed tomorrow. Surprisingly not a single blowie was landed (yes hard to believe today). Got a bit of a scare when the rod went heavy on me and thinking this might be a small ray but to my excitement it was this small beast. Went a fraction under 60cm. Quick check of the regs (thanks to my phone) and can be landed and kept as not in swan river. Yay. (please don't tell me I am wrong )All damage was done with fresh prawns, and cockles (when they stayed on). Now to clean them. |
