Day 1

As it's our arrival day, we only managed a quick arvo fish.
Unfortunately nothing to report.

Day 2.

3.4m waves and 40+ k winds........nice day out......in the pub

Day 3

2.5 or more swells saw me have a chuck for the first time in years.

We were in the water for about 5 hours. Saw 2 big bags of squid been fed to the pickers.

Found a wicked north west blowie spot. 1 drop each, both hooks gone.

Over all, some stripped fish, about a 300 baldie, 300 mulloway caught by me and 1 200 blackass.

All fish returned

Out of bait and patience. We returned

Day 4. The final day

Besides the wind and the chop, the good news is, I didn't need to wash that filleting knife of mine. No fecking fish

1 Just legal dhu and then chief berley maker.
The rest of the day was spent as a counter balance on one side of the deck.
Haven't stepped foot on a boat without seasick pills since.

I was there......Jurien Uninvitational...which prompts the idea that perhaps we should organise another one?

I think i have that photo somewhere of you passed out on the deck on Ezi's? boat.

To make you feel better RH.
You were doing better than me on this day.

Another get together would be good.
Maybe Cervantes rather than JB. I may still have PTSD issues.

Otherwise if people have an idea for a comp I'll put up a prize.

every year for the last few years, my boss goes to the aboholis one one particular boat.

We bumped into him at the jurien servo, he was on his way back.

he was saying that they have been slow up there also. Some boats only bringing 5kg worth of fillets after 4 days fish.

been a bad fishing season so far this year

I'd be keen for a catch up. I need a boat ramp to launch my boat as I longer have the polycraft which I could beach launch. Otherwise I'd be confined to the dingy. I would also be keen for a southern junket to chase some off those big squid down Albany way. Either way I'm not fussed. Even local would be good.

What tub you got now?
I'm keen for a fish next weekend local if weather permits. Always up for just squid otherwise

Yeah mate the old port Hedland sea rescue boat. They got a new 9.0 air rider through royalties for regions. It is less prone to sea sickness it just depends how much you drink the night before. I have been laid up on it for half a day but came good in the arvo.
