Went out Sat arvo to sit in the sound and do a bit of a night fish.
Perfect conditions with a light breeze and nice and warm.
Parked on a spot in deep water that showed a heap of bait fish so I anchored up and put out some fresh squid baits caught earlier.

Baits got picked at for about 20 mins when the new rod (Monster Mesh) went off.
It made short work of the little black tip of about a meter. The rig was a tangled mess to it paid the ultimate price and got knocked on the head.
While I was dealing with that the other rod went off. Same result, shark, same outcome.

Had those to bleeding out when the 3rd rod (30lb Terez with Rareanium 5k) does a run. 10 minutes later and 3 laps of the boat I had a 5 foot hammerhead boatside. Decided to cut it loose as the thought of having that thing thrash around in the boat with gear everywhere didn't sit well.

Clean up the deck and threw the Monster Mesh back out. Before it hit the bottom off it goes again. Same bloody Hammerhead. Still had my other rig in it too.
Put some hurt on it and it gave up the ghost pretty quick. Cut another rig and off it went. Decided to move on as the sounder was showing what looked like more of the buggers down there.

Went to a spot closer in an parked up for an hour of 30cm suicidal Pinkies. They went quiet and the crabs moved in. Big buggers too at 150mm across. Shame about the ban would've got a good feed.

Headed in and the sounder was playing up. Got the boat out and found the transducer broken off. Bloody shark must of clipped it while thrashing around boatside.

I really hate Sharks......

I don't think they had a chance with the other nastys around.
Worth another try though.
