well it looks like the pathfinder has finally had enough ,got a top end rattle and a coolant leak out the head gasket so ive filled it with bars leak and gonna trade it .just wondering on everyones opinions on a replacement. took a new prado for a run yesterday and must admit im pretty sold on them (except the fact a new injector is a grand) i did want a patrol but they got nothing on a prado for ride comfort and feel more like a truck

Just bought a Colorado 7, waiting delivery.
Worth a test drive.
Not quick but a tonne of torque.

new injector is $350. Available from United diesel. Same injectors as the L/C V8 diesel. Just because its computer controlled....

Yeh the LT but with the bigger wheels from the LTZ and a tow kit.
It's the same dual cab frame but with a wagon top.

I read a few "reviews" on it first and they all bag it for not being as good to drive around town like the other SUV's. But they all loved it off road.
I think they missed the point, it's not a SUV it a 4X4. Big difference.

Can't beat my 2005 Mitsubishi Challenger.
Fuel economy great around 450 kms before it gets to the empty mark, not the red light end of the tank around town.
On the beach and getting to fishing spots its very surprising seeing it's an automatic.

Those prado's are awesome grot, best mates old man has one. Does something like 9l/100km (country).
However restricted only if you're doing extreme 4x4 and a patrol might be the way to go.

Also those colorado's as lefty said have an excellent rep, and a mate who worked for holden gave em the thumbs up for a good reliable truck.

Wouldn't worry too much about injectors, as fish said, I saw an advert for that same mob

Around the 50k mark Wookiee.
Are you looking for a wagon or duel cab grot?
Duel cab opens up a lot more options.

SAS, I looked at the Challenger but didn't like the seating position (I'm pretty big) otherwise a good rig. Grots a bit of a midget so he might be ok.

For me it came down between the Grand Cherokee (awesome to drive and great kit but less clearance), Prado (Same awesome but less car for more $$) Patrol ( bit of a tank to drive and slow but ok grunt and tonne of room) and ended up going for the Colorado as I got the 3 year free servicing which was probably the major deciding factor.

I was only looking at wagons not duel cabs.

Don't believe what the girls say Grot, they were drugged at the time.
I'll let you know when it arrives and we'll go for a fish/shoot to test run the C7.

I have found an AWD bolt on kit on the interweb.

Looks like you can convert any front or wheel drive car to an AWD

Oh man I want one, that thing is awesome. "Please refrain from making left or right turns once this kit is installed." Your handling will improve out of site in a straight line. Lol!!

I would almost recommend the new challenger, but they kind of screwed the engine dynamics in favor of an around town car. Apparently their chip upgrade reduced torque by 15% just so it was a little quieter. I am still pretty happy with it, just wish it was still had the guts it had when I bought it.

Wise investment there with the block. Can't justify ever buying a new car again.

Good choice on the Prados. Mates dad bought a new 2008 model, then upgraded to a new 2012 model 4 years later because they are just a pleasure to drive and good on fuel. Missus will be happy.
