Mate has set his boat up for night fishing and is keen to give it a crack tomorrow night as the conditions are looking pretty good at the moment. Thinking of anchoring up between Carnac and Garden Island and burleying up and see what comes along. The wind is forecast to be below 10 knots and the swell is about 1.5m, would these conditions be safe for fishing in that spot?? Your thoughts are greatly appreciated Cheers Boots |

Looks real good mate, you might get a little wet but wind and swell looks okay. I'd go out in my tinny in a heartbeat but think the mrs has something planned. I'm still weighing it up though to go out anyway. |

Should be fine. Head out with some daylight left so you can see where you are setting up. |

the current through can get quite strong and watch the swell as all of said. If it gets rough slow down and take it easy. Night fishing is a different kettle of fish and S**t can go wrong even quicker then in the day. you can not see very much of the water and take warm clothes/hot drinks. With the colder weather coming through it gets mighty frosty out there on the water. Also do tell someone of your plan and where you are going. Expected time of return too. The best thing about fishing at night is your senses. hearing becomes heightened and eye sight sharper. It gets so quiet out there. |
