Think I'll try the Sound briefly and if nothing showing, I'll head right out. Got my two tanks full plus 10 litres extra. Probably end up out back of Rotto all going well.

Dad and i are planning to head out monday. I was thinking out to the 5 for dusk plus a few hours.
now theres a damn front coming through pushing 15kn+
looks like we'll be limited to C**k-burn sound D9 or on the reef edges i guess. Havent done much in there at all but i believe there are plenty of fish around.
Yesterday the wind prediction was perfect. Was thinking about punching out hard. Oh well.

ah bummer red, you will get lucky one day just like i did with my mulloway. Now its squid and baitfish. Just to find the snapper. have had 2 perfect nights to go out but have missed them to stay home and clean gear... Heading out next sunday/monday

oh and.....
PB Blowfish - 24 in one trip
Herring are not a food fish they are best used as bait for bigger fish.....

If you put in a few more hours the results will come, even from the shore mate keep persevering. Even with a boat the results don't always come easy. My brother inlaw has a 6.1m boat and had it way longer than I've had my tinny and hasn't caught a snapper yet or many other big fish either.
