Serious post belters..........

Pinkies......they move into the shallower water in the summer and head deeper in the winter?

When is a good time to get them in the sound (outside of the ban)

Are there any about in June (in the sound) or are they heading deeper now?

What is the go along the south coast? Do they come in closer in the summer?

How many are you allowed to catch in this age of over regulation

It's all about big swells, fronts and tides in winter baz. Keep an eye out before the storm

baz i get pinkies all year round straight out from the cut along the five fathom bank in 10-20 meters of water. anchor, burley and float the mulies down is my method once you see the fish on the sounder. i tend to think they are residential fish as i have one spot where i have caught fish up to 7-8kgs each time over the last year. some i assume would head out to deeper water and return but we generally dont miss when we head out there.

they come in close winter due to the baitfish that congregate in the sound and also follow the cray pots and crays that move in to shell. Lefty noted this in his 5 fathom thread and stinky snapper. Also some do come into spawn - not a huge amount- but this is peak time in the north. July for example jurien bay is full of snapper.

In summer they come into spawn and are easy targets for over zealous fisherman, who bag out in the morning adn then head out again at night to bag out, breaking the 2 per fisher day limit in the 24hrs from midnight to midnight. easy court of gravel patches and weed banks, lumps and structure.

seem to also follow the nutrient flow from rivers and pipes.

If you got my email i will show you the spots i have been getting them off bunbury.

Allowed 2 per fisher baz.

I would but I don't trust you with it.
You would just get lazy and use that instead of having to think up your usual dribble of out dated sledges and poorly derived Australiana
