Hi belters, since Bunners now has a reef, King Baz would like to take his tinny offshore. King Baz needs a marine radio in case of Fun Police or break down. Never having needed a marine radio, I know nothing about them. What would be a suitable model for a tinny. What station do you tune in to. Who do you tell you are heading to sea? Baz also needs another fish finder. My last one was a Lowrance and it was a piece of sh1t. About 25 minutes after the warranty wore off it was farked. Never buying lowrance shizen again. What is the ducks nuts? |

vhf needs a lic. buy 27 meg (gx 300) and join A.C.R.M ($25 a year, covers from margeret river to just south of mandurah). Have fun. You will also need offshore flares to bazza. Don't forget to PM me when you want to see the reefs. |

I've got a lowrance, no probs. Get the 27meg baz, unless you're heading miles offshore a VHF isn't required. |

vhf baz as if you take the tinny up to exmouth or somewhere like that they dont monitor 27meg. as for the licence i had always had a VHF and have never been asked for a licence. as for a sounder if you want top of the range a furuno 620 or if you can find a good second hand furuno 600. i have seen them for around $400 and are easy to use. |
