G'day all, anyone out there got some info on Sandy Cape. 5 of us are heading there with tinny in tow. May not be able to get the boat out. The info I am after is 1, what bait to take 2, what species to target 3, any squid there ( fresh bait) 4, where to launch tinny, beach launch? Thanks in advance for any info. I am positive I will have a report to put up. Cheers, Adam |

4x4 beach launch into reasonably deep water, can be soft at times. Lots of reef and weed banks so squid shouldnt be a problem. Been blowing a gale when ive been there so havent been able to fish. |

Parts of the Sandy Cape beach are restricted to 4WD access...and they are the softest parts from memory. It is probably easier to whack the boat in at Jurien or Green Head especially as the waters around Green head will be holding snapper inshore atm.... There will be plenty of weed and squid around as already mentioned. Edited by Chess Shark, Aug 13 2013, 10:32 AM.

Cheers Trav, wind seems good for tomorrow. Just the swell worries me but I am thinking there is some protection , islands and reefs to settle it down. |

Landbased samsonfish if youve got the right wind. Should be good fishing if the weather plays ball for the tinny with 5 blokes in it. Have ya google earthed it yet? |
