never is Rob, that's why I avoid it.....hit the dhus instead.

Best time btw i've heard is early mornings, just so you know. Might avoid some of the idiots. They're biting every few hours throughout day. Dare say some will be hiding in wreck too and pop out every now and again for a feed. They hide from that submarine in photo above.

So you got connected and lost it to the shark? hate that.....

when we went past the D9 yesterday at about 3pm there were about 20 boats over it and we ended up anchoring up at the wreck north of it. At dusk i counted 45 boats on the D9, plus any i couldnt see, and there were 9 around us. I didnt see a fish pulled up at all from anyone and we left at 3am when the leg started playing up and the wind kicked up.
We ended up swinging something fierce when the wind picked up again around midnight and had over 90 degree swing. The damn boat just wouldnt sit still.
anywho i had 1 good run, hookup, and instantly reefed, 1 ray for the friar and 1 NW bolt cutter. that was it for the 12 hours.

Needless to say we had very strict no hands in the water on hookup policy. not that we needed it.

Any ideas on minimising boat swing?

so that was the big Cat with the large canopy over the back? i thought that was a pro boat. It was scooting around all over the place hovering around the edges of the boat groups.
Glad they have the tags on. i think it should provide good information.
Also its 1 step closer to frikkin sharks with frikkin lazer beams on their heads.

Cheers Spence, I dont suppose you know if fisheries caught it on a hook? or some other method? Looks like a wire trace hanging out of its gob.
I love GW's but also really hate them for keeping me out of the water.

Cheers, if they used live pinkies for bait that would double their catch I think.

Would love to be 'working' on that boat for a living.

outfished by my daughter last time.

Still caught a few pinkies this year which is great with the help of dingo, grot, rob and Danny. Still found my own pinkies and a single mulloway. I am back down to the busso jetty to tag 15cm models on the long weekend.
