Try using metal slices or lures - to keep the hoards of blowies away - on the sand flats from Point Walter down to East Freo...

They haven't fired up yet Rob.
Weather is warming up a bit this week but I usually don't get any real numbers until we get a few days in a row over 30 degs.
I hit up my usual spots on Sunday and only saw 1 fish. And he didn't move until I stepped on his tail.
The weed in the river at the moment is ridiculous too. I've never seen it this bad.
Some hot days and very low tides would help us all.

Cant be too far away from getting active.

Im going to have a good look for flattys on Friday afternoon, take the yak up the canning and see what i can find.
Most fish at this time of year will be up in the shallows, think ankle to knee deep

Prawnstar lures are good in that they don't get demolished by blowies, tho i haven't been seeing many of them around at all so far so you might get away with plastics.

I prefer to fish a fly worked back slowly through likely looking areas because i can keep it in the zone for a long time.

They say "the early bird gets the worm"... Not a problem, worms all yours birdy. I'll get up around noon and fish a dry fly - Hank Patterson

If I ever get this bloody electric motor back I'd float you around some of my spots and see if we can fire them up Rob.
