interest in a charter trip?

Is anyone interested in getting a a group together for a day with Seasport charters in Jurien sometime in April?

I have my dad visiting from NZ while he is in a unexpected but welcomed period of remission from leukaemia. I would like to get him out for a fish in relative comfort, chemotherapy has taken a bit of a toll on his body.

Ive sent an email off to Seasport regarding availability and rates this morning. Just floating it out there if anyone else is interested.

Good charters off jurien. I'm sure you'll do well. Preferably up there, i like to head out myself though.

Looks like the cost would be $290pp - Quite a bit of coin for a days fishing.

Depending on roster, hell yeah, Im in.

Bring on the Westfish Charter Comp. I will do a naughty sauce pack for a prize.

Oh, better ask the wife?
Give a man a beer and he'll waste an hour. Teach him to brew and he'll waste a lifetime.

Yeah maybe but $500+ for a weekend seems a bit steep.
Plus I'd have to scab a lift up the coast.

Got the information here on prices, In short:
- Maximum 12 passengers.
- $290 per person.
- $2500 exclusive hire of vessel. Maximum 8 plus $290 p/p thereafter.
- Duration approx. 8 hours.

So to get the boat its going to be minimum of $312pp + $290 for the next 4.
I thought it might have worked out a bit cheaper to get a group together, but not the case.

You will find that if you book the whole boat you dictate what type of fishing you do, trolling, bottom bouncing, jigging, live baiting etc.

Plus you can also fish 8 rather than cattle class.

I was looking at the week before Easter.

When i put this post up originally I didn't think i was going to be around the $300 mark per person.

I'm backing away from it now, I cannot justify dropping $600 + fuel to Jurien for a days fishing.
