My wife... she is off the rails. I have always had a tumultuous relationship with Nancy, ever since we met at the debutantes ball. She has always shouted at me and escalated conversations beyond the pale. She does not know how to behave in a proper social environment. I'm lucky that my contemporaries aren't fully aware of the situation. They'd think that I was a madman being married to a daring woman. However, today of all days was much worse.

Nancy had several full blown arguments with me in the drawing room. Tonight she left in the car with her bags packed. She told me that it was for the sake of our marriage. She's now, much to my dismay, living in the townhouse in London. I do wish she'd stop this madness. I fear that our relationship might not last another year. Although, I've had this feeling for all of the forty years that we've been married to one another. I can still remember her throwing pots and pans at my head last night.

I will have to consult an advisor tomorrow on what to do about Nancy. She is going to make a laughing stock out of this family. I dread to think what papa would say. 'Told you so,' he'd more than likely tell me. He always told me that she was too big for her boots. I never bloody listened to him. I think we stayed together that long for the sake of the children. Now that they're grown up, things may not be the same anymore. I now sign off after having had my wife leave for the townhouse. I do hope nobody has heard the row.
