The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom
19.4.14
"Good evening. It is a privilege and an honour to be standing here outside number 10 Downing Street as your next Prime Minister. As Prime Minister, I will be taking a pragmatic approach to sorting out our nation. I pledge to work with our allies on the growing crisis in the Middle East - ISIS in particular - and to ensure that we are doing what is best for our nation and our allies. I also pledge to work with Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland to ensure that they are able to be governed to the best of their ability. England will also be in a similar predicament. Scotland has given us a well needed wake up call. I will be discussing the options of dissolution for the countries within the United Kingdom, with local parliaments for all four countries including the one national Westminster parliament.

Another pledge of mine is that I will be immediately calling a general election to ensure that I and my party are properly elected by the people of this country. Without the vote of the people, I feel unable to govern. I will also be looking for our party - in the general election - to win an outright majority so that we can govern solely without a coalition. If successful in the election, I will be rewarding those who vote for me - and those who don't - with a chance to finally get back on their feet financially. Several crucial reforms are set to take place.

This address has been brief. You will hear more from me in the coming days. Thank you."

"I have been in politics for many years now. In those years, I've served in the cabinet under both Margaret Thatcher and John Major. I have much more political experience than David Cameron, who has not even served as a Secretary of State. The real answer to your question, however, is not about what I have been in the past but about what I am going to be today - in the present. I can vow to the people of the United Kingdom that I will not let them down, and, call me unoriginal, if I do, I will answer to it.

I have proven that, by calling a general election, I am going to be answerable to the will of the people. As Prime Minister, it will be my aim to pass more legislation that gives the people a say in how their country is governed."

"What are your plans for dealing with the Scottish riots? Buildings are being set on fire and numerous officers are being seriously injured."

"I do not blame those Scots who are rioting for doing so. They are acting in defiance of the politicians here in England who are arrogantly going about their business and passing laws that mostly only have real worth down here in England. I will admit that until recently, I too was one of those politicians. It is my aim to give Scotland more powers. I want to give Scotland the power to govern itself as a state in the United Kingdom. I want to do the same to England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

To answer your question, I will not be doing what the Scots are rioting against, and then they won't have anything to riot about."

"You want to give Scotland the power to 'govern itself'. Interesting.

Finally, Mr. Prime Minister, how do you plan on combating the issue of the increasing number of families struggling to pay for food and electric slash gas bills within your possibly short term as the PM?"

"Well, all four countries would still finally answer to Westminster, otherwise we might as well not be a United Kingdom. If people are as wise as I think they are, they will vote for me in the upcoming general election. I will be ensuring that those who need the government help get it. Government help must not be seen as a salary, but instead see it as a charitable donation to those who are needing to get back on their feet and resume their normal station in life. I will be ensuring that families get the help that they need to be able to sleep in a sense of security at night."
