The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom
27.9.14
"Good afternoon.

It is an honour to have been re-elected as your Prime Minister. When I challenged the leadership of my predecessor, David Cameron, as Leader of the Conservative Party and won, I became Prime Minister. I was fully aware that I had not been elected as Prime Minister and would not feel comfortable governing. The people of Britain have spoken loud and clear by not just re-electing me but by giving me more seats than my predecessor and an outright majority.

I would like to congratulate my opponents, namely Ed Miliband, Nigel Farage and Nick Clegg, for running formidable campaigns. Every single one of us involved in this campaign has put in as much effort as humanly possible. From the staff working on the design of the leaflets right up to the party leaders, everyone has contributed to a political campaign in some way shape or form. Let me also take this opportunity to thank the people of Britain for placing their trust in me and for voting for me. I can assure you that your trust has been placed in the right person.

We need to come together to ensure that our government is governing for the British people and is putting them before any other country's people. We have problems with our country. Our welfare, education and health systems must be reformed to ensure that we are not affected by a drain on resources. The tax system must be reformed to ensure that people are paying the right amount of tax. To do this, I have appointed a team of highly skilled individuals to help me take the helm.

Dominic Lupton will be taking office as the Foreign Secretary and my deputy as First Secretary of State, replacing the Deputy Prime Minister's job, William Browne as the Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Wastson as the Defence Secretary, James Rutherford as the Attorney General and Alan Clifton-Brown as the Home Secretary. More changes will be announced shortly.

Thank you."
