[Document (with formatting) attached] Country: Taiwan Committee: Economics Topic: Multinational Trading Unions The General Assembly, 1) Taking note that the global economy is stalled, and is causing financial problems 2) across the globe, 3) Recalling that each country would like its economy to be health and strong, 4) providing stability for its citizens, 5) Disturbed by the lack of international projects designed to help solve this problem 6) and create new international marketplaces, 7) Noting with concern that the world has dozens of underdeveloped countries, and 8) there is minimal amounts of infrastructure building being undertaken to try and 9) resolve this problem, 10) Keeping in mind that it has been a priority of the United Nations to try to develop 11) these underdeveloped places, and that vast amounts of resources are put forth 12) in humanitarian efforts, but less so in the economic efforts, 13) Believing that the current trading blocks that exist throughout the world are 14) creating stronger economies, helping all of the countries involved in the block, 15) Observing that a large proportion of the world’s underdeveloped countries are 16) not involved in major trade with much of the developed word, where a majority 17) of the economic processes occur, 18) Believing that these countries are not without resources and their inclusion in 19) trading blocs would benefit all participants, 20) 1) Calls for the United Nations to condone and support the further 21) creation and use of trading blocks through out the world; 22) 2) Encourages each member country to attempt to better the world as a 23) whole, and infuse an infrastructure into the world’s underdeveloped 24) countries, by seeking to begin trade with them; 25) 3) Endorses an United Nations fee to help create a better world, a fee 26) paid by every member state to create a fund to attempt to create an 27) infrastructure within these underdeveloped countries, creating a healthier 28) world economy; 29) 4) Supports this bill having a section that allows countries to not have to 30) pay this fee, if an underdeveloped country is included in each and every 31) one of their trade blocks, at a ratio no less than one underdeveloped state 32) to three developing states to six non-underdeveloped states, to 33) encourage partnership building, a healthier economic mode than the 34) reapportionment of resources the fee suggests. |

PASS Interesting concept that will make for good debate. Is there any benefit for developed nations beyond the "good samaritan" perspective? Also, what prevents from developed nations they are "helping" from colonialism? |
