Thank you for your good wishes, Bonnie. Most of the blisters have gone flat, but the pain continues. It's not doing much for my mood either, but I imagine that too is par for the course. |

Had enough being the "Pink Panther" yet Stitch? I hope you are feeling better soon, this summer is too hot to be miserable. |

Wait - it's possible for Stitch to *not* be in a mood of diabolical ingenuity? Sheesh, now we find this out...

You bet! ![]() Calamine lotion futures ought to be really hot right now.
Yes, it is, and this rash is still pretty ugly. I've just been listening to Big Finish 42, The Dark Flame, and in it one of the villains complains of being stuck in a corpse for millennia; so, naturally I'm thinking, 'or you could have shingles, in which case it would only feel like millennia!' (rolls eyes)
Actually, it has made my mood MORE diabolical. The Dark Flame's got nothing on me now (evil laugh). |

Oh, I so wish I could! Maybe you could hose me down and put out this fire on my skin. The itching is keeping me up at night, and combine that with the humidity, and I feel like I've got an entire nest of ants (possibly fire ants) crawling over my mid chest and back. There has to be a Doctor Who episode in this, but frankly I feel too awful to write it right now. I am therefore now accepting prayers, promises and postive thoughts from wherever I can get them. Thanking you in advance!

I wish you as speedy a recovery as possible, Stitch. Sounds like you're going thru Hell right now. I hope and wish the best for you. Try to distract your mind with some of your Big Finish audios. Hopefully they and Doctor Who televisual episodes will help you get thru this. I wish I could make the humidity go away for you as well. This has been the most humid summer in years, and I hate it. Hopefully you heal soon. Love, Marcello

"Look at the sky-it's not dark, and black, and without character. The black is in fact deep blue. And over there, lighter blue. And blowing through the blueness and the blackness, the wind swirling through the air-and then, shining, burning, bursting through the stars! Can't you see how they roar their light?Everywhere we look, the complex magic of nature blazes before our eyes." Vincent Van Gogh actor Tony Curran 'Vincent and the Doctor' (2010) | |

Thanks so much for your good wishes. At the very least it cheers me up a bit. As a matter of fact I have been listening to my Big Finish. I started at #1 and now I'm at #60.

Actually I do need a roof fixed. Tree trimmer put his leg through the small garage (where the Black Dalek is usually found outside cookin' away) roof on Thursday. Been getting quotes on it....everyone wants to replace the entire roof. Contractor friend came by last night..."get the materials and I'll fix it for nothing." after we looked up in the attic space. He wants to replace the rotted panel where the vent leaked instead of the whole roof. So I need a bundle of shingles....hey Stitch...anything in stock besides pink? |

Well, I have some red, off pink, and that awful colour, ah, I think it's called puce. That's what how my skin looks anyway. I had a long soak in the tub last night with lots of baking soda, and I sure wished I could sleep in there, because my skin has made it quite clear that it prefers to be under water right now. There was more pain than itching afterwards (I expect because the top layers of dead skin sloughed off), which I actually find easier to take. I decided to take an antihistamine along with my pain medication and the calamine lotion before bed and this seemed to help, though I was awakened once with a terrible itch. I declined to scratch, instead pushing my hand against the effected area, which oddly seems to help. I think this confirms it's irritated nerve endings more than anything else. I woke up with pain again this morning, and with the humidex set to go off the scale again today, I shudder to think what it's going to be like for the next few days. I have been in a story state of mind lately; so, I sure hope this eases so that I can finish one.
