Get the trainers out and be prepared to be her feet for a week or two. But also be sure she walks a bit each day little further...even if only by three steps.

It's ok to be afraid...it's the 'not knowing' that can get you down. She has part of the answer right now what was wrong. Now to look forward to the solution in August and she'll have everyone's support behind her...that love alone is worth alot.

I feel for her. Surgery is so crazy when you have cancer so a big hug to her. I've been there and it's not something to look forward to but it can make all the difference in the world so I hope it makes things better for her.

I had a hysterectomy several years and it took me awhile to get back on my feet. But I got back to normal.

It will take time to recover but she will be okay. :cloudnine:

Continued prayers, Tracy.

I posted some other info on the other forum as I saw your post there first.

Do try to find out when your mum will be allowed to walk and such after surgery. GU is correct about the walking.

Keep the blood circulating! :)

That was the best therapy that Paula had after her surgery.

I'm glad your mum has such an early date for her surgery. It's the waiting that's the hardest.

Your mum has the right attitude about her recovery from the surgery. And, as GU has said, even 3 steps is progress.

One step at a time, Tracy. Never worry about the future "what ifs"; just take care of what's happening now -- the future will look after itself.

Hugs to both of you. :console:

Agree that waiting is the worst - one day at a time, five minutes at a time - wishing you all the best. :console:

Dear Tracy:

I wish your mother to get well soon. My thoughts are with her. :console:
"Look at the sky-it's not dark, and black, and without character. The black is in fact deep blue. And over there, lighter blue. And blowing through the blueness and the blackness, the wind swirling through the air-and then, shining, burning, bursting through the stars! Can't you see how they roar their light?Everywhere we look, the complex magic of nature blazes before our eyes."
