Both Steven Moffat and Mark Gattis are excellent writers, so I have no doubt that their rendition of Sherlock Holmes will be great. I'm intrigued by the fact that their version takes place in the present rather than the usual 1800's. This is something I think that will bring on board new and young fans to Sherlock Holmes. I rented Steven Moffat's written series Jekyll from my local public library. It was great! James Nesbitt was fantastic as the star.
"Look at the sky-it's not dark, and black, and without character. The black is in fact deep blue. And over there, lighter blue. And blowing through the blueness and the blackness, the wind swirling through the air-and then, shining, burning, bursting through the stars! Can't you see how they roar their light?Everywhere we look, the complex magic of nature blazes before our eyes."

I watched this earlier. The lead (who plays Sherlock) If he did secure a role as the next Doctor, I have to say, as Sherlock he reminded me a lot of some one called Tom.

I heard the series is absolutely amazing...I may have to check into the usual channels to see if I can get my paws on it.

I also have been reading great things about it on-line. I hope they release the series on DVD after each season is done(assuming it goes to a full series). Or at least start showing it here in Canada on a cable channel.

P.S. I guess I've been on this forum more than I thought and said I would. It's addictive!

Actually, from a non-linear, non subjective point of view, it's more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly timey wimey... stuff.

I thought this week's opening episode was brilliant! Unfortunately there are only two more episodes, so let's hope they get signed up for some more pretty soon!

I didn't know Steven Moffat wrote Jeckyl - now I'll have to hunt a copy of that down! Thanks for the heads up. He really is such a versatile and talented writer!

You're welcome, Sue. :bye: Look up Jekyll at your local DVD store or try Amazon.com to buy it if you want.

Just found out that Steven Moffat and Mark Gattis's 'Sherlock' will be coming out on DVD August 30th in the U.K. Hopefully us North Americans will have a release date soon after. I will definately be buying it. I love Steven Moffat's writing, as well as Mark Gattis's. GERONIMO! :excited:
