I was surfing looking for articles about the World's Longest Yard Sale -focusing on Crossville area and found a blog site with a day by day of the Route 127 event. Hey, it covers 3 states..Kentucky, Tennesee, and Alabama This lady was shooting what she and her friend saw here and there and I saw someone I think I recognized. Madgoth, did you go on a little road trip this weekend? Or maybe the lady with the similar hair style is your evil twin?? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SU5bI-eUaSI...player_embedded I just looked and paused...almost not quite though the voice is questionable. |

ha ha, no, I wanted to go, but I can't deal with the heat! Is it the woman at :53 (of 1:41)? remarkable! Instead I went to the lake and cooled off in the warm water and got blistered.

You can see why I thought it was you..same hair and manner of moving it back. So you have a twin..just as mysterious as ever as there's no way of finding out her name. My best buddy says that video was taken a little further north at Jameston or whatever the name is of the town that started it all. If I went, I'd be in big trouble if people were selling books. I'd need a bigger house. Imagine...a single road going through 3 states...wall to wall yard sale. After paying the space fee, my buddy cleared about $400. He should have stayed through Sunday but a sick puppy had him pull up stakes early on Sunday. If you go 'yard-saleing' what do you look for? |

Clothes, kitchen items, books, etc. I love yard sales. I seldom get to them now that I live in this neighborhood. |

I've seen that yard sale shown on the local news stations! Heaven on earth!

I like to go to big flea markets etc., Yard sales, too much driving around. This long one looks okay though. I look for whatever is interesting. Books always, sometimes blue and white plates, interesting mugs. I mostly don't get to go because of work. they always start Fridays then only junk is left for Saturday. |

That is true about the yard sales--unless one is out and about early, the pickings are usually limited. |

The thing I love about Flea Markets(that Madgoth mentioned) is shopping for old comic books and old non-sports trading cards. I love that stuff! WHO knows, some of them might have old WHO memorabilia. You never know til you look. They're great fun! |

"Look at the sky-it's not dark, and black, and without character. The black is in fact deep blue. And over there, lighter blue. And blowing through the blueness and the blackness, the wind swirling through the air-and then, shining, burning, bursting through the stars! Can't you see how they roar their light?Everywhere we look, the complex magic of nature blazes before our eyes." Vincent Van Gogh actor Tony Curran 'Vincent and the Doctor' (2010) | |
