If You Could Be Anywhere Else....; Where would you rather be?

Yes, after a rough trip south - little dogs have tiny bladders in the middle of the night and the cat only needed one claw to deflate an entire queen air mattress - we're back in the Land of Boring Beige Cookie Cutter Houses. The Boyfriend had to go downtown Sarasota today and came back shaking his head.

"When I moved here in the late 1980s, Sarasota was known as a city with a small town feeling. Now with all the huge buildings going up - it's more like Tampa. Definitely like any other big city with no personality now and can't even see the waterfront anymore for the highrises."

So obviously we want to be totally elsewhere...like Cape Cod.

Is there a preference where you'd rather be to be happy and enjoy the day?

Actually, oddly enough, no, at this particular moment in time, but maybe later... :bye:

It's fairly quiet here at the moment, not too warm nor stormy, no pigeons at night, the stew is hot and delicious, the tea hot and strong. :cloudnine:

I hope you are having a better moment now, or if not, will be before long. :console:

I FINALLY GOT TO BE IN SNOW!!!

22 years and finally I get to step in the white stuff, make snowballs, take a bite of it and rub my hands with it, and knock it off my sneakers.

Had to make a fast trip to Cape Cod this past Saturday for 5 days and had snow on arrival. Alas, by Wednesday it was all gone but got to enjoy it while it lasted.

Lordy, Route 6A Yarmouth Port at night with all the candles in the windows, snow, greenery and huge bows looked FANTASTIC on all the old houses - 1700s to 1900s. Can't wait to get back up there in April!

If you had been here, it would have been much livelier! We just stayed in and watched tv - nothing special that night but we're making up for it tonight!
