Following a response from the GM in my private forum, I feel it is necessary for other members to be able to hear of my concerns, not the diluted rumors from WillQueek via MSN.

As you are all aware, I have had my doubts this game for a while, and voiced them when the game was announced to shortly be starting. However, as the game began to progress and move on into it's first few opening turns, I decided that some of my original concerns about the game where misplaced. Whilst the game was not up to the standards of some of the more developed campaigns, which is perfectly understandable, it is after all a trial run, it was still enjoyable and fun to play. With some of the Fluff write-ups needing a little bit of work on, and some needing a little bit of proof reading (which I have offered to do in the past, but have been turned down) other than that, all seemed to be going well.

However, I did begin to notice some minor discrepancies, not from the game, but from the GM. On a forum called 'WillQueeks Lair' and with a Clan invented by the GM forming the nexus of the games storyline, alongside the Skull of Grey Seer WillQueek, I had thought that such an issue might arise. That issue is over attachment. With several players currently going after Clan Scruten, and it's Council, it s easy to notice which side is having the most success. Clan Scruten appears to still be around, and in great force, which greatly surprises me. With its main general (iTroll) having been absent know for near on Ten days, it still appears capable of defending itself from attack. With an assassin slicing up it's Council, War in the North, the Skull being attacked by the Queen of Thorns, and the Ferrik-Skryre Alliance pushing on into it's territories, I count it as a miracle that the Clan still stands.

It is not really the fact that Clan Scruten still exists that is my cause for concern, rather it is the reason why they do. Overpowering. It is clear to me that the GM has massively overpowered his Clan, to such an extend that I actually believe that he has just started making up random events to happen to players that go against the Clan. For example: Greenbelly the Ogre was (I am informed) going to attack the Ferrik Skryre Alliance, so I sent an Assassin after him to negotiate an alliance. In response, as you all saw in the Fluff Update, the assassin was Kidnapped, I was not informed of this until I saw the write up. Of course, when I negotiated my Assassins release, he inexplicably was bought in a cage, well fed and unharmed, and guarded by an ogre, who just happened to walk past my guards, unmolested, and into my throne room. How he managed to do this, I am not sure, as I am pretty sure Guards are supposed to alert me of massive 8 foot tall ogres bringing back important dignitaries who until recently I thought had been killed or tortured (possibly both).

Another example was the player who had an enormous 'Magma Dragon' appear from nowhere and start pursuing him across the map the moment he got to close to Clan Scruten. This one genuinely confused me, how could that not have been on the Map Locations?

Additionally, in responce to my conclusion that Clan Scruten was OP, I decided to begin powering up myself, and my army. I attempted to power up my magic, but apparently Skryre Warplords don't have magic. I attempted to engineer a Doomwheel, and a chair with 13 legs, but apparently Clan Skryre cannot engineer things anymore. I attempted to conscript local skaven into my army, but apparently consciption of entire regions actaully means an NPC search. I attempted to amalgamate conquered Clans into my army, but aparently, thats not what Skaven do,

However, what really twisted the knife, was when I took my views to the GM, asking just why Clan Skryre could no longer engineer things, and this was the response I got:

"If you want to see it like that, I'm completely fine with that, because in case you didn't realize it yet: I don't care about what you think."

I personally think, and am justified in thinking, that is disgusting for a GM to state that to a player orientated campaign, especially in a test run, and even more so to a player that helped to finalize his last Campaign (alongside ratty) so that it didn't look like a complete and utter joke, along with its founder. Whats even worse is the fact the the GM was supposedly maturing, sufficiently to run for Council, and even to run his own campaign unassisted. As far as I am concerned the GM has lost all credibility to me, for a very long time. It does not matter who you said it to, or what they had done you NEVER insult a player when your a GM, never. Its unprofessional, its rude, and it undermines your abilities as a GM.

In conclusion, as many of you will have noticed, the last turn rapidly approaches. However, does it? I do not actually know, as the GM still appears to not have decided himself. As he mentioned in the FAQ, he has yet to decide when the last turn will be. That combined with the fact that nothing much has changed in the game, with Clan Scruten still dominating, against all the odd's, the idea that the GM has yet to decide on the last turns date seems to add weight the argument that he will shut the game down the moment his precious Clan is on the way out.

The game has promise, it had a nice start. The fluff was good, and the background could have produced a great and solid campaign. Unfortunately when the GM starts taking sides, it looses its touch, and when the GM starts insulting players, you just as well shut it down immediately.

Mind if I open your faction forums so the viewers of this review can see what I have already been granting you and what kind of stuff you wish me to just accept. While I can defnaltly agree to some points, this review is incomplete with often half-right or even wrong facts.

May I also ask in addition to this report why you think all other players have not been facing this problem? And what about the time of posting this review? Normally campaigns are reviewed after playing them, but you post it up when it appears you are going a bit less, no offends meant but that arouses suspicion.

Ark if you don't like the way Will is running his campaign then quit. The first rule of playing in a campaign is accepting that what the GM says goes. This rule exists because 9 times out of 10 the GM knows something you don't. Now as I'm sure that refuting your accusations would mean Will would have to reveal either detailed campaign mechanics (a big no no for any GM) or actions that you have no way of knowing IC, I gona lock this topic and summarise my response in one sentence.

Don't like it? Don't play.
