Hey guys! Nothing major here, just figured I should make an official update and tell what's currently happening, what's gonna change, and what's going in the near future.
- Ideas and Plans
- Adding characteristics and categories of nations involved so they can be RP'ed in the case of absence (and for the ease of factbook writers and other interested parties)
- Figuring out a neutral ground and what's going to happen there. (We need NPC controlled countries or at least one NPC controlled area.) Will the main storyline stuff happen there? Will we have restrictions as to what happens in a country depending if it's NPC or player-controlled?
- Mod intervention to new heights. In order to maintain freedom, and actually have a RP, we need SOME restrictions, but why not create or find opportunities? Ex. If one person wants to lead a mercenary band, another wants to be bandits, and another wants to run a train company, all three could be thrown into a situation. Train company hires mercs to protect them from bandits. Mods assess the story in OOC and find ways to include new people and ideas.
- Pushing old countries and characters through new requirements. What do we do with the old countries and such? Put them through the new requirements or let them slide? I say be slow about it and contact everyone and get everything even before we start. Anyone who doesn't change their nation can't be in when it launches, but can be there after they make the changes.
What's everyones opinion of this and these plans? We're going to do it right this time.
Also....do we launch as our own region, or do we become a colony of Ainur? If we become our own region, we can have a fully independent government, RP other than just Wistlor, a military, and whatever else we wish as an independent region, but we have to run an autorecruiter or manually recruit. If we become a colony we exist solely as the RP and some OOC threads.
I've talked with the King of Ainur, and we can try a two month deal as a colony of Ainur and see how each region likes it. After the two months we can either renegotiate for more months, make it permanent, or to break it off.
Wanna get everyone's opinion, tell what you think on the RMB please, debate is nice.
