Character Mini-Biography

While often forgotten, especially since she prefers to live with the mortals and jump through time, Aion is somewhat of a forgotten Prin'irthe. Gaea is her sister, though her nephew Dolus has on occasion let mythology believe that she was actually her son...er...daughter...no, son. Like many of the Prin'irthe or even Theoi, gender is fluid. While some of them decide to keep one gender, Aion/Aeon had always liked to switch back and forth. It makes living multiple lives easier.

She doesn't like to involve herself in the matters of the Titans, the Theoi, and the Aesir, she prefers her humans.

While creating the world, though his part was greatly left out, Aion allowed some of the Titans and Theoi the ability to manipulate time. There are some that exploit this more than others.

Aion has nothing against her sister or her spawn, or their spawn (and so on), but she does think that they take their roles too damn seriously. How she sees it, they should have moved on to other worlds by this point.

Because she is so illusive, she was one god who was filled with some of the most confusion, from her name and role constantly being debated by historians. And occasionally gender, since Aion can be a man, a woman, or both at the same time. The main name that she went by from the Greeks was Chronos (not to be confused with the Titan Cronus). Some thought she looked like an old man (Father Time), while others saw a strapping young man (Aion). In truth, she was always an awkward lanky young man who could control and manipulate time however she pleased...or a short woman with long flowing hair and cheekbones that could cut your hand if you slapped them.

Another confusion was some thought that she looked a creature with a serpentine form with three heads (that of a lion, a bull, and a man). Also that her main consort was a snake-woman thing, and that they circled around a giant egg. Again, the work of Dolus combined with the fact that no one knew what the hell to make of Aion.

There are some of her consorts that know that she is a godly being, but never to the true extent, or that she can manipulate time. She also doesn't talk about the other consorts to her consorts, trying to keep them separate.

Her main consort as a woman is during Medieval England, to a roguish man who eventually got himself killed by the law.

He created the laws of time, and his favorite rules are the rules of paradoxes in Time Travel.
